Has ben great product excpet in VIsta

Awesome scanner except annoying (non-functioning) scanner buttons in Vista

Totally flawless in XP

The scan buttons (from the scanner) do not function in Vista even after getting the Vista upgrade driver/software. Canon informed problem still exist

The film scanner is completely unreliable

They used a very small connector to attach the film scanner to the flat bed and you have to use duct tape to keep it from working it's way out of contact.

It won't talke up a lot of space when you put it in the trash can

Canon LiDE 600F and Vista Home Premium (32-bit) OS

Under Vista OS my 4-year old HP 4670 scanner balked at scanning film and only worked marginally, at very best, as a no-frills copier.

Vista install went smoothly, scanning options galore, power via USB2 cable

Mounted slide option would have been nice, seems a bit flimsy

A fine scanner, improved

"Sidewalk_Bends" wrote a great review. (Read it.) I am as pleased with my scanner as he is. - - There are several design improvements to this scanner compared to last year's CanoScan LiDE 500F model. The 600F has a vastly improved lid hinge with a...

Light, fast, optical 4800 x 9600 dpi

It is thin, but even thinner would be better

Good Value and Simple Hookup

After extensive research, I opted for this scanner mostly to scan my 400-500 slides and 2000+ negatives, and still have a document scanner in the end.

Tiny Form Factor and low profile GREAT

Will NOT Scan MOUNTED Slides
