Canon imageFormula P-208 Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner

The Canon imageFormula P-208 Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner combines a capable scanner with somewhat limited software.

Duplexes. Automatic document feeder. Scan utility in firmware allows scanning without software installation

No software included for converting scans to editable text

As its name implies, the Canon imageFormula P-208 Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner has a strong family resemblance to the Editors' Choice Canon imageFormula P-215 Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner. As the lower price suggests, it's a step down in...

Canon ImageFORMULA P-208

Canon's ImageFORMULA P-208 is a neat, USB-powered, portable scanner, with optional wireless connection. Strangely, no OCR software, though.

Well-designed support software, Automated and one-touch scans, Plastic card scan

Fiddly paper guides, No OCR software supplied, Can only scan to graphics files

Canon imageFormula P-208

Portable duplex scanners usually come with a price premium attached, but Canon's little P-208 offers this and more for a lot less than the competition. What's more, this compact scanner trumps lighter simplex scanners by cramming in a 10-page ADF.

A compact, affordable duplex scanner that's easy to use, performs well and has some nifty features

Review: Canon ImageFormula P-208

Portable duplex scanners usually come at a premium, but Canon's little P-208 offers this and more for far less than the competition.

A compact duplex scanner that’s easy to use, performs well and runs without drivers.

The best scanner ....Very happy with the purchase

Easy to use. USB plug-n-play Very quick scanning. Good optical resolution. Scanned all my non-standard (size and thinckness) papers w/o andy problem. Low cost ($99 during holiday)

After scanning several old docs.... i thing dust got stuck in the rollers. It makes squeaky noise. Scanning quality is still good.

solid portable printer, but room for improvement

I mentioned a lot of cons, but I am happy with it since these compromises are necessary for the portability and size. I would like to see better build quality or materials especially given the retail price.

*Very convenient size and portability. *USB power is convenient. It's using a USB to mini USB B connection. *Default scanning is fast and outputs good quality. *Duplex works well. If the backside is blank, it won't appear in the scan automatically.

*Workflow would be much more efficient to be able to split scans into multiple groups/files rather than everything in a session having to be in a single output *It has a lot of trouble on multiple documents if the sheets have been folded or are not...

Fantastic

- I have accidentally ran stapled documents through the scanner and it had zero issues scanning the top and back page. The staples didn't get stuck or harm the scanner. Though i wouldn't recommend it, it's still a bit forgiving in user error. -The...

- light weight - Small in size, fantastic for storing under a monitor or somewhere out of the way yet accessable - Scans rather quickly and accurately - It does a decent job of detecting which side is up on a typed document - it can scan pretty much...

- the gears tend to squeal a bit. I'm hesitant to open it up and apply some grease but it is rather distracting - Only the 360 image shows it, but the front flap folds down and it has two adjustable tabs to secure to the sides of the paper. If you do...

devourous petit documents muncher scanner

Amazing scanner, its functionality defeats its size. The application driver do not need to be loaded in the OS. Out of the box, can be plugged in XP and have it in service w/o any reboot. It has only two buttons. Read the manual though for the...

A great petit scanner that is handy to scan 10 pages documents at once in around a minute. It is a plug and play, kinda remind me the gizmo hand scanner that I had once attached to by 80286 Sanyo machine ; This thing does not need configuration or...

None, except for the retail price. It is too high. Get it on sale
