Canon imageFormula P-215 Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner

Although big and heavy for a portable scanner, the Canon imageFormula P-215 Personal Document Scanner's fast speed, duplexing, and ADF make it well worth the extra size and weight.

Automatic document feeder. Duplexes. Rated at 15 pages per minute for black and white as well as grayscale

Relatively big and heavy for a portable scanner. Application programs don't install by default

Canon ImageFormula P-215 - Easy Scanning On-the-Go

Boasting convenient plug-and-play capabilities, Canon's P-215 scanner draws power from a single USB cable and has the ability to produce high-quality documents of up to 600dpi resolution in monochrome, grayscale, and full-color. However at 1kg, it is a...

Portable scanning for PCs and Macs

Easy to install ; Fast ; Fixes problems of its predecessor ; Portable ; Duplex scanning

Expensive ; Bundled software not great

Even on the highest quality setting, the Canon imageFORMULA P-215 was fast, and the results were excellent.

Canon ImageFORMULA P-215

Canon's latest offers high specs for a portable sheet-feed scanner, including duplex scanning.

Can scan ID cards ; Neat cover/feed tray ; 20-sheet feed tray

No case supplied ; Photo scanning could be better ; Bit heavy for true portability

Canon P-215 review

Although we've seen a number of sheetfed scanners over the last year, truly portable models like the Canon P-215 remain something of a rarity.

In general the Canon P-215 works very effectively. We weren't quite as impressed by the feeding mechanism as we hoped to be, although those looking to scan letters and other smooth materials should have few problems. The software is certainly...

Canon imageFormula P-215 review

Portable scanner that doesn't require batteries

Fast, Compact portable scanner, Draws power from USB on host computer

Expensive, Relatively modest scanning resolution

A price tag of £257 means that the P-215 is quite a bit more expensive than an ordinary flatbed office scanner. However, its compact, portable design and clever software makes it a good choice for people who need a basic scanner for business documents...

Canon ImageFormula P-215 scanner

Compact, Doesn’t require additional power cord, Consistently produced high quality scans across the board, Extremely easy to use

No option available to adjust contrast or saturation

Admittedly, it’s not often that we get excited about scanners. However, the P-215 makes scanning so smooth and easy, with so few hassles,  in a nifty portable package, that it didn’t take us long to fall in love with this little device. Despite putting...

Perfect for travel

If you are always scanning docs while traveling, this is a good investment. It does add a little more weight to the computer kit. The convenience of not having to search for a scanner is a plus.

Bought this to use while traveling around Afghanistan. Finding adequate equipment to perform your job is a real challenge. You have to take everything you need with you. This is the perfect size for travel to use with a laptop. The usb power means you...

Come on Cannon!, you couldn't put the AC adapter in the box! It's an option?! I knocked off one egg for the AC adapter. For the price that should have been included. Using two usb ports to power could be and issue for smaller ultra books. It does allow...
