Small, Networked and well thought out design. Mac/Linux compatible. Fast. Good quality. Saves trees, paper storage problems. Password protects scanned PDF files on the fly

Pricey, touch interface is a tad slow but I find that problem with anything touch screen save my iPhone/iPad. Interface seems a bit dated. Comes with PS2 mouse and keyboard ports, but who is using those these days. I had no luck installing whatever...

Don't need a computer to run this scanner. Big LCD screen. After reading documentation the UI is pretty user friendly. Fast scanning! I've just setup a shared folder on our network and it saves the scanned file to the folder

Sometimes irritating paper jams or paper won't be feed properly. We'll see in the coming weeks how she performs

Great Product!


For businesses that want to be more productive and shuffle less paper, this is the way to be. We own several of these now and they are lifesavers. These things handle color scans, b & ; w, letter, legal, duplex, they will even scan a business card...

Get a stylus for it or the screen gets pretty smudged up. Occasional issue with biometric reading incorrectly. Canon is looking into it

This scanner could have been so much more user friendly. With embedded Windows, I expected to be able to scan directly to a folder by browsing the network, but this facility is not available. All destinations must be preset in an address book. ...

Cannot scan direct to a folder, have to rescan if document already exists.

ScanFront 220P is an extremely compact stand alone unit that plugs directly into your office network to deliver direct network scanning and sending with full touch screen convenience. The ScanFront 220P allows you to scan directly to one or multiple shared PC folders, email addresses, FTP servers or to USB memory, in any combination of your choice. The ScanFront 220P is additionally equipped with fingerprint authentication for convenient, instantaneous login. Instead of the standard login method, the user sweeps their finger over the sensor to verify their identity and is then automatically logged into their personal home screen.
