CardScan Executive

The Cost of Doing Business Cards

Scans business cards and saves contact info as editable text quickly and (mostly) reliably. Syncs with Address Book. Quiet, solid scanner

Expensive. Scans only one card at a time. Intel-only software

The CardScan Executive takes some of the drudgery out of getting the information on business cards into your Mac, but not quite enough to recommend to most users.

Cardscan Executive

Turning that stack of business cards you have sitting around into usable contact information has always been a challenge. The traditional solution is to get a business-card scanner such as the CardScan Executive ($259.99 direct). If you're already...

Small size. Powered through USB cable. Highly accurate text recognition and parsing of text on business cards

No automatic document feeder. Pricey

The CardScan Executive's strength lies in the CardScan software, which is still among the best available for reading business cards and parsing text.

CardScan Executive

Keep your contacts in order with CardScan's Executive business card scanner.

If you’ve ever come home from a trade show with a pocketful of business cards, you know that typing endless reams of contact info into your address book can be a long and time consuming process. That’s where the CardScan Executive comes in. At two...

DYMO CARDSCAN IGNORES AND CHEATS CUSTOMERS

I bought a Cardscan. After I could not get it to work I started emailing for help. I was ignored for over 2 years! Finally a rep answered and told me that it could not be installed on a 64 bit system. NOTHING on the box, in the description or in the...

Won't work

took almost 3 years to get a response from company, now they want me to pay again

lost it's firmware 85 days in,they don't pay shipping.

this product was great at first, it comes with a 30 day in store return and a two year manufacturer warranty. the disappointing part is that they make you pay for the shipping when you need to return it. i have only had it for 85 days and it keeps...

worked good for 85 days

they should pay shipping on defective products

It works. Company policies don't. Kills loyalty.

Overall, the product works well and is simple to use. It stays connected to my usb port on the computer, and once I end up with too many business cards floating around, I feed them into it one by one, do both sides if necessary, then file the cards...

I like the device. It organizes all your business cards copying your notes on the card, which is extremely helpful

I don't like their Customer service policies. They'll sell you unit without telling you new upgrade is due out soon. Then want to charge you more. Everytime you get new computer expect to buy additional upgrade. Not worth it to me any more

Decent Scanner, but pay again for software update

The time has come for me to buy another brand. There are several alternatives in the market now.

It scanned adequately, and their software worked with Windows XP

When I changed operating systems, they did not provide a normal free upgrade to support their device. The price they wanted was almost the cost of acquiring the DEVICE and the software

Pay now, Pay again later

I have used one of their devices for a couple years on an XP computer, and it worked fine.

A good little device

Terrible software maintenance/upgrade policy

It works as advertised. Am using with Outlook 2003.

Product works as advertised. Is small black and white scanner specially configured to take business cards and synch them with Outlook contacts. You have to use CardScan's software, but it automatically synchs to Outlook once you set it up initially....

Relatively low cost; fast scanning; accurate scanning; easy automatic conversion to Outlook contacts

Software requires some setup to get it to automatically configure how you want it
