Epson Perfection 2580 Photo

This fast, easy-to-use flatbed scanner has a film feeder built into its lid.

The Epson Perfection 2580 is most useful for people who want to digitize batches of 35mm negatives.

The Epson Perfection 2580 Photo ($150 street) makes a decent stab at photo scanning, with overall scores of good for slides and photos, and quality scores of good for slides and the high end of good for prints. But it has some limitations when it comes...

Better than average slide scan quality for a flatbed scanner. Good OCR accuracy. Color-restore feature for faded photos

No ADF. Automated film scan doesn't work well for black-and-white film. Scans only one slide at a time

The Epson Perfection 2580 Photo scanner is a fine entry, with a couple of flaws. In particular, the automatic scan for strips of film performed poorly with black-and-white negatives. Both photo and slide scan quality, however, are better than average...

Epson Perfection 2580 photo color scanner

I bought this as I wanted to scan my stack of photos during this 4th July weekend. It is rather slow. It took around 3 min to do 24 bit color and 600dpi. I feel that too much.

AutoFeed for Films

Very slow for 48 color or higher DPI scans. Low quality software

slow, but great for 3-D (smal sculptures)

This scanner is slow and it's so slow that I'm looking to buy a newer faster one, but for the original purpose I bought it for, 3-D objects, specifically small sculptures, it works better than any of the others that I had tried. I imagine it would...
