Epson Perfection V700

We've been working with an Epson V700 in the bunker since July of last year, thanks to a quite generous loan from the company. Its distinctive dark gray and silver squared-off design takes up a corner of our large equipment table, connected to our main...

Our experience with the Epson Perfection V700 has been a happy one. It's fast. But it also delivers one of the highest quality captures we've seen in a flatbed. Sharp with good color. Our reservations start with the need for the height adjusters. We...

Epson Perfection V700 Photo scanner - Pocket-lint

Over the last 2 years Epson has produced some exceptional scanners, the 4870 was a cracker, followed a year later by the 4990, which improved the package

Excellent scan quality, excellent range of scan tools, software bundle, easy to use

Slow software install, big’n’blocky design, flimsy film holders

Epson has been pushing dedicated film scanner, scan quality for some years and now, with the V700 the results are certainly better than most dedicated film scanners. When you realise this scanner is under £400 (around £399 actually), and it is better...

EPSON V700 review

The V750 is EPSON's top of the range flatbed scanner designed specifically for the professional photographer and designer who needs high quality scans. As the V750 is supplied with identical film holders and other accessories to the V700, and has more...

Works OK "High Capacity"?, No.

Still looks like the best one out there for the money today, but there are a couple of annoyances about it. (I'm not big on 5-Star ratings).

mostly does what you expect it to do as a basic scanner. I'm not going to go into details about all the things it does satisfactorily. Most of the stuff is true

The automatic document feeder only takes 12-15 pages (standard copier paper), which is not my definition of "High Capacity". It seems like for an extra $0.50 they could have gotten to 50 sheets, which would have been awesome ; The software didn't work...

Epson GT 1500 - Would buy again

Comparing the Epson GT 1500 to the Canon Lide is like comparing a Mazda hatchback to a Mercedes G wagon - the Epson is 3x the price & the weight of the Lide. However, when it comes to reliability & speed, this Epson is every bit like a Mercedes but the...

It works with macs!! Per instructions on the installation CD, download the drivers off of the website ; It is fast, less than 10 sec a page - compared with the 30 seconds I was averaging with the CanoScan Lide 200, this operates like a dream. Also, the...

If I had to complain about something, I guess it is heavy and more expensive than my prior scanner (Canon CanoScan Lide 200)

I'm using a Mac Mini Power PC 1.25 GHz with 512 megs RAM, OS 10.4.11 installed. I had been using a Canon Lido 100, which took about 35 seconds per page for a document scan to pdf in B&W. Right now I feel like I'm "walkin' in tall cotton" with this new...

Really fast scans, reasonably small footprint for a flatbed/sheetfed scanner. Worked first time I tried it--Just now got it set up and ran my first scan ; I scanned 10 pages of documents from the sheet feeder to a pdf file in B&W in *30 seconds*. File...

Lots of software, lots of installation files-- this is the most time-consuming part of setting it up. After that it was quick, shut down my computer, hook up the scanner to AC power supply and USB cable to computer, booted the computer, turned the...

Ease to use & Setup

Good machine for the price. Recommend it.

Very easy to use & setup. Good quality scanning in B&W and color

Sometimes will become non-responsive and you have to re-boot the device or computer (or both)

Epson GT1500 Would buy again

Smaller, faster, ADF reads thinner paper, and it is more reliable than the comparable vendor's product; though it won't do double sided through the ADF, I remedied this with an old copy of Acrobat Pro. I would definitely buy this product again.

Very fast. no warm up time. No problems installing software or getting it to recognize the scanner as were encountered with comparable product I returned. Lock to protect the scanner during transport. Handles very thin paper (notebook paper). I have...

no ability to duplex ; software included will not track and sort to create double sided documents by scanning 1 side set at a time ; This can be solved with third-party software
