Nice Idea but unreliable execution

being a veteran of scanners (2 microteks, a cannon, a brother mfc, 2 visioneers and a couple of hp's,) I really liked the idea of being able to see my document as it scanned and knowing it was straight in the scanner. Unfortunately, the first scanner...

Has a nice viewing windows to see your document. cheap.

Horrible software, limited capabilities, short lifespan, and severe limitation on number of scans capable/day.

gee, I can actually see the document to be sure it's straight!

I've been looking at this scanner for at least a year. Every time I've seen it I thought the price was a bit high. They were selling this unit for $99.00 and the higher end version with the film unit for $149.00. Finally the price has been brought ...
