HP Scanjet 5590 (Business)

The HP Scanjet 5590 is a good choice for basic office scanning, and even handles photos reasonably well, making it a good choice as an all-purpose scanner.

50-sheet, duplexing ADF and 35-mm transparency adaptor are standard. Handles OCR well. Better slide scan quality than most flatbeds.

No batch scanning. Transparency adaptor is external, rather than an integral part of the unit. Lacks feature for removing scratches or dust from image.

HP Scanjet 5590

This pricey but proficient scanner includes an automatic document feeder that easily churns through stacks of documents.

The office-targeted HP 5590 is a good pick for OCR work, thanks to the proficient automatic document feeder that comes bundled.

HP Scanjet 5590

The HP Scanjet 5590 is a good choice for basic office scanning, but it also handles photos well enough to be a good choice as an all-purpose scanner.

Duplexing, 50-sheet ADF and 35-mm transparency adapter come standard. Handles OCR well. Better slide-scan quality than most flatbeds.

Feeder Fail

Not happy with HP Replaced my all in one printer with Brother. Much better and quiet.

returning

well packaged and easy to install and set up. was able to determine file location for saving documents easily.

ADF (automatic document feeder) does not work. Jams easily. We could not get further than one sheet, did not scan two sided. Jammed every time it tried to scn second side. Essentially useless for desired purpose. I am returning today

Not a good buy

It scans.. sometimes.

It jams fairly often, the software looks like it was made in 1995, and the scan speed is TERRIBLE. I have time to go bake a potatoe by the time I can successfully scan 10 sheets without a jam.
