HP Scanjet 7650

Strong on OCR and document management. 50-sheet, duplexing ADF. Transparency adapter. Useful array of front-panel scan buttons. Twain, WIA, and ISIS drivers

Doesn't batch-scan. Lacks features for removing scratches and dust from photos and slides. Transparency adapter is external to the scanner, attached by cable

The HP Scanjet 7650 is an all-purpose scanner with a strong business orientation, making it a good fit for a home or small office.

Excellent Scanner with Document Feeder for Moderate Use

As long as you keep your pc maintained and you uninstall outdated software and hardware you won't have any issue with installing. The scanner installed fine on my new PC, but I did have difficulty installing on my older pc until I used the Add/Remove...

Quick preview, Auto Doc Feeder, Duplexing feature

Some have errors due to software conflicts and may have difficulty installing the software. Removing old software previous to installing the 5590 will eliminate this

Absolutely not recommended

The product comes bundeled with good software. However, the scanner itself has serious issues. Most notably, scan speed and feeder reliability. Making things worst, clearing a paper jam is a significant amount of time. I did not realize how terrible a...

ADF D.O.A.

Software package is somewhat dumbed-down. In an attempt to make it "user-friendly" they seem to have created limitations when compared to past versions of the software. I have another one of these at another office and it works perfectly.

ADF was dead on arrival. Contacted HP tech support, after trying multiple resets they agreed with me. Sending back for replacement via newegg. Not expecting any trouble in doing so

Slow, software lock-ups

There are other brands you would be better to look into.

None

Have 3 of these for a tax office and TWAIN interface constantly lock up. Full system reboot required to correct issues. Office is going to discard these and replace this year due to total issues

Not a bad little scanner

Document feeder works well. Able to scan into differnt formats. Higher resolutions are timely to scan.

Does not work on Vista!

If you are running vista, save your money! Do not buy this scanner!!! Tech support will get it to print to their crappy software, but your computer will not recognize the driver. You will not be able to use it with any purchased software.
