Review: Kodak Scanmate i1120

Kodak is launching a new scanning and imaging product for the commercial space. The CMP Channel Test Center gives it a look.

Once VARs do have access to the product, it could be a fit for small or mid-sized customers with specific, desktop imaging and output needs.

Used at work, persnickety machine

But it is fast and easy to use.

But when it is working, it's AMAZING. Photo scans are very accurate and fast

You have to clean the machine entirely too frequently. Dust shows up as green streaks through photos and requires a sticky cleaning sheet and dust free, lint free cloth cleaning wipes...then the wheels become disgusting and need to be cleaned with yet...

Exactly what I needed.

We needed a scanner at work to scan signed invoices and I did alot of research before deciding on this one. It's fast, almost never double feeds, great clarity and resolution, and takes up less space than a keyboard.

Brillant machine!

I was amazed. My company replaced my old Kodak scanner with this one. It can scan both sides of a document in one fast move! Auto straightens, fast warm-up, any size document, including business cards. I couldn't be more pleased and the price was great...

value!, fast!, compact!, versatile!, great software package

The Scanner is small and light, definitely easy to keep on the desktop. The Trays foldup nicely as well to make it even more compact. The onetouch software is highly customizable for the presets. I have used Xerox OneTouch which wasn't as easy. Not...

Decent hardware, but old software. Very hard to justify the price.

I bought this scanner on sale from NewEgg in January 2009 and have used it alot. Worked great with XP, but not recommended for Windows 7 or x64 Windows. Great hardware, but very disappointing that the software has not been updated.

Solid hardware, easy to use, quite a few features and highly configurable software, feeds documents well

The first unit I received had a bad sensor--color documents had vertical yellow lines. NewEgg replaced it and although the new one was better, it is definitely not usable for scanning photos--there are always vertical white lines on the image ;...
