Microtek ScanMaker 6800

The Microtek ScanMaker 6800 ($400) is the most expensive product in our roundup. But if you need to scan scratched or dirty prints, this is the model to buy. That's because the 6800 is the first flatbed print scanner equipped with Applied Science...

Great Scanner

It was time to upgrade. I have a canon but I needed something faster since I am now scanning a lot of prints for work. I originally bought the Epson 3170. It was a quality scanner but the software was complicated and there was too many steps to obtain...

Good, fast quality photo scanner.

Digital Ice feature could work better, but does a decent job.

Tremendous Scanner - Great Value

I used a Microtek XL6P for over four years, scanning my parents 70 years of photos. I thought the XL6P was great, but this newer Microtek 6800 is amazingly fast and efficient. It does an overview scan, that you can then divide into separate scan boxes ...

Fast, incredibly efficient scanning. ICE jump starts photo repairing.

No ICE for Negatives and Slides. Somewhat noisy at 600 DPI.
