If you want a more professonal and higher resolution scan, I would get a different scanner, but for scrap booking family slides and negative, this is great.
The one step scan was easy to setup and I had more than 30 slides scaned in about an hour at 1200 ppi in color. Great for artciving home slides that my parents took when i was a kid so i can make them a memory book for their 50th anniversary
