YUK!!! STAY AWAY!!!

When I could get this unit to work, it was ok. But since the manufacturer went out of business in August 2000, tech support is nil, and I can't get it to work on a new machine.

Inexpensive but disappointing

I've owned this scanner for more than a year and have scanned hundreds of negatives and slides. It works, generally, but it does not do a consistently high-quality job. Many of my scans have horizontal streaks in them; sometimes I can get rid of them...

I bought this scanner and have had no luck getting the software to install properly, let alone get the unit itself running. I went to photographyreview.com and their site noted that a)Tamarack is out of business and b) that I needed to get Documan 3.0...
