Great coffee! Lousy carafe

The pause and brew knob makes it difficult to insert the carafe on the plate. One small push caused the carafe to break and it's not warrantied. A close inspection of the glass and a comparison to a Krups pot proved that the glass was thin on the...

Recommended with reservations

Coffee tastes like plastic. Does not brew as hot as billed (only 180 F) in Consumer Reports (recommended 190-210 F). Also only 900 W, not 1000 W as described. Considering returning.

Poor Design - good coffee

Lip of carafe gets hung up on brew stop knob. A gentle shove causes the carafe to break at the lip. No warranty on carafe and the glass is thin in comparison to others.
