Fitbit Charge 4 review: Affordable GPS at last

The Fitbit Charge 4 is a modest yet important update to the Charge 3, the company's most capable fitness band. The addition of built-in GPS makes the Charge 4 an even better fitness device for serious athletes and active zone minutes gives all users a...

Accurate GPS ; Active zone minutes is a good motivator ; Fitbit Pay as a standard feature ; Multi-day battery life ; Finally has Sleep Mode ; Good price

Dated design ; Can only control Spotify music playback ; Limited on-device apps ; Not compatible with Apple Health or Google Fit

Fitbit Charge 4 review: The only fitness tracker you need

The Fitbit Charge 4 fitness tracker may have an aging design, but under the hood, it offers all the features you would expect, plus a super well-designed app.

Excellent fitness tracking ; Some smart features ; Good battery life ; GPS built in ; Solid value

Limited music support ; Slightly dated design ; Display could be better

Fitbit Charge 4 Review

Built-in GPS ; Robust companion app ; Spotify support ; More sleep tools ; Fitbit Pay available on all models (not just Special Edition) ; Motivating Active Zone Minutes metric ; Stylish design

Lacks a color display ; Screen wake can be finicky ; Basic interface

The Fitbit Charge 4 fitness tracker builds on its predecessors with the addition of standalone GPS, Spotify support, more sleep tools, and Fitbit Pay.

Fitbit Charge 4 review

The Fitbit Charge 4 is the best fitness tracker yet, thanks to built-in GPS and helpful new features like Active Zone Minutes.

Accurate, fast GPS ; Big community of users ; Good design

No onboard music storage

But there’s no denying that if you want a fitness tracker to precisely measure your exercise, sleep, and other health metrics, you can’t do better than the Fitbit Charge 4.

Fitbit Charge 4 review: No contest

The Fitbit Charge 4 is the best fitness tracker you can buy, period. Fitbit didn't need to do much to achieve this title again, but it managed to fix all our gripes with the Charge 3 and keep it at the same price point. The built-in GPS is welcome, as...

Sleek, customizable design ; Good battery life ; Built-in GPS ; Fitbit Pay now standard on all models ; Sleep tracking is fantastic ; (Mostly) accurate GPS and heart rate sensors

Finicky inductive button ; GPS can take its time to lock on ; Heart rate sensor can be laggy

Review: Fitbit Charge 4, a great fitness band just got even better

Fitbit Charge 3 has been our recommended fitness band since its launch over two years ago. Is Charge 4 the new go-to device? Read on to find out.

Built in GPS works well ; Like the Charge 3, but better value. ; Useful training tools ; NFC as standard feature ; Decent battery life

Bland design ; Small, monochrome display ; Few apps ; Still doesn't integrate with Apple Health or Google Fit

Smartwatches might be all the rage at the moment but there’s still a market for people who prefer fitness bands. Not all of us want something bulky on our wrist.

Fitbit Charge 4 review: Small and steady wins the race

Fitbit's Charge 4 isn't a flashy update over the Charge 3, but it brings just enough to keep it on top of the pack.

Top-notch fitness, health, and sleep tracking ; Excellent battery life, even with GPS switched on ; Standard GPS and NFC add value

Plastic body is a downgrade from the metal Charge 3 ; No third party apps or music storage

The Fitbit Charge 4 isn't flashy or classy, but it does what it's supposed to and looks good doing it.

Fitbit's Charge 4 Is a Great Tracker That's Come at a Weird Time

How does one review a fitness tracker—something meant to get you moving and measure your athletic progress—at a time when most of us are forcibly stuck indoors, slowly melting into our couches? That's the conundrum I've been grappling with ever since I...

We finally get built-in GPS! NFC payments standard on all Charge 4s. Active Zone Minutes and heat maps are great additions.

You can't switch from exercise app. GPS maps in testing a little wonky. Screen still isn't the greatest.
