Garmin Vivofit 2 (black)

That's where the Garmin Vivofit 2 comes into play. I've been wearing the tracker for almost a month now and haven't charged it once. The Vivofit has a user-replaceable coin battery that doesn't need to charged and will last more than a year. But that's...

The Vivofit 2 has an always-on display, one year of battery life, and can be worn in the shower and the pool. The new model adds a stopwatch mode, a backlight, audible alerts, inactivity alerts and a greatly improved wrist band.

There's no vibration, syncing isn't automatic and the Garmin mobile app doesn't provide detailed enough information or any smart coaching insights.

The always-on display and long battery life make the Garmin Vivofit 2 an appealing alternative to the Jawbone Up2 and Fitbit Charge.

Garmin Vivofit 2 review: An activity tracker with year-long battery life, no charger needed

It's no secret that battery life in our gadgets isn't perfect. A majority of our smartphones, smartwatches and even activity trackers must be charged on a nightly basis or at least every few days. For once I would like to go on a long vacation and not...

Garmin Vivofit 2 Review

The Garmin Vivofit 2 is a capable fitness tracker with style. It monitors activity and sleep well, and can act as your timepiece without being obtrusive on your wrist. Unlike the Fitbit Charge and the Jawbone Up24, the Vivofit 2 can match your...

Accurate, detailed activity tracking ; Always-on, backlit watch display ; Interchangeable bands ; Long battery life.

Doesn't sync automatically ; No diet tracking ; Lacks sleep alarm.

The Garmin Vivofit 2 is an excellent fitness tracker for monitoring steps, distance and sleep, and chic wristband options let you wear it as a watch.

Garmin Fenix 3, Epix, and Vivofit 2: Three different sportswatches, three totally different looks (hands-on) - Pocket-lint

Garmin has unveiled a bunch of new sportswatches at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. We got some hands-on time with the Fenix 3, Epix, and Vivofit 2, all of which

Garmin Vivofit 2 review

It's got stamina, and will help improve yours

Year-long battery life ; Accurate enough step counting ; Waterproof to 5 metres

Not the comfiest thing ; Sleep and run tracking a waste of time ; The app could offer more useful analysis

A neat little fitness tracker whose battery life and waterproofing means you never need to take off. And if it were just that bit more useful and more comfortable, you would never want to take it off either. Still, a solid effort for the price.

Garmin Vivofit 2 review: No charging dongle needed for this band

The Garmin Vivofit 2 stands out with an always-on display, year-long battery life and a water-resistant design that can withstand swimming in the pool.

Garmin Vivofit 2 review

  (Rating Hidden)

In 2015 Garmin launched the Vivofit 2 - a simple band with an LCD screen and a variety of tracking options. We liked the original Vivofit, but it struggled with accuracy when tracking data. Can the Vivofit 2 improve on the original? Read on to find out.

Garmin's Vivofit 2: A modest update to an entry-level fitness tracker

Swappable bands in a variety of styles ; Good step-tracking ; Long battery life

Cheap, non-touchscreen display ; Limited data-tracking ; Minimal sleep-tracking

The Garmin Vivofit 2 offers some key improvements over its predecessor, but its entry-level status means a notably limited feature set.

"Not fond of the advertising that is not true about this product."

I like the fact that this instrument has a screen on it that allows you to check your progress. I like the clasp because it feels like it's pretty sturdy. But, the vivofit 2 does NOT auto sync like is advertised. You still have to push the button to...
