Run, swim and bike yourself to a state of exceedingly lean fitness

Strong build quality. Easy to use, yet very powerful. Impressive battery life.

Highly annoying charging/syncing connector. The heft won't suit everyone and makes it a dubious choice for all-day wear. Not much use as a sleep tracker.

Triathletes and other multi-sport fitness fans will love this. If you only go running, it's probably overkill, but that's up to you and your wallet…

POLAR V800 - Red, Universal

 

I got the V800 at a great price. I expect it will be replaced sometime in 2018 but it does everything I need. Great battery life; almost a month in just watch function, a week with plenty of GPS / HRM use. The free Polar Flow app and web page is great...

A colour screen would be nice, but I expect an updated version will give that, though it could lose battery life.

Fantastic for pool swimming. My RCX5 just did HR and when you paused it you could no longer see your HR while resting. V800 shows everything. Never had a problem counting lengths but this watch counts distance swam, strokes, rest periods etc etc. Still...

Nothing but bit early to tell how long strap lasts.
