Great OS Drive

Great deal from a great manufacturer.

This drive is great for the price, Reliable and really can perform for an OS drive. I have owned mine for 4+ years and bought it from our local shop. However I feel the review on here would be helpful. They update their firmware quite often and keep it...

I did have my first one fail. However it was replaced and ran 100% since then. It failed on the first day with such a minor error that I almost didnt find it

This is my 2nd drive!

I have one of these as my boot drive for my Win 7 system and using it for nearly 1.5 years. Now I just got another one for my new Mac mini as a boot drive. I love it! This is fast! Great drive

Thankfully Newegg was quick to provide and RMA. Will see what happens when the replacement drive comes in. Newegg still rocks on their deals and customer service.

This drive only lasted about 2 weeks before it quit working. The drive just stopped working one day while booting up my computer. The drive was no longer recognized by the BIOS, even. I had even updated the firmware to the latest version

BSOD's weekly

If I can get it to 3.3.2 and stop the BSOD's I will remove this review in favor of a 4 egg review. It is a good SSD when it is working. Just more of a hassle than it is worth at the moment.

Fast. Well priced. I've owned it since 10/16/2011

I get the BSOD problem as described by many. It happens at random intervals (mostly during idle periods of streaming media to another machine in my house). Contacted ADATA support and they recommended moving the firmware up to the 3.3.2 version....

Solid product

Had a bit of a learning curve installing this so you may want to google an SSD install if you haven't worked with one before. It was well worth the time and effort for the install. I have an Asus Sabertooth X58 board with the marvell controller which I...

No news here but this really speeds up your boot and shut down times, as well as loading programs and games much quicker. Price was right at 99 bucks, and right now the 120gb and 128gb drives are the sweet spot for cost vs storage space. Has enough...

Acronis software was pretty useless for me as it will not let you image a partition only an entire drive. Still will be useful for monitoring but you have to buy the full version if you want to copy partitions

Great SSD

There is a lot of tweaking involved if you want to minimize the write on the disk, one thing is to avoid using a swap partition on the ssd itself. You also need to add the discard option in fstab to get Trim support. Overall, I'm satisfied with the...

I'm using this unit as a boot drive for Debian 6, works on the default debian kernel (2.6.32) and the newest vanilla (3.3.6) without a hitch. On Linux, you have to align the drive with fdisk before installing. You also gotta use Ext4 over Ext3, else...

Excellent upgrade for a Netbook

My netbook boots up much quicker even on a SATA II (3.0 GB/s) data controller (about 40-50 Seconds loadtime), programs load much quicker, meet's my expectations, 120 GB is plenty of Storage for what most people use a netbook for

None thus far

I put only games on this particular drive- World of Tanks, and Masseffect 3. Loading now is not limited by the hard drive. It is now limited by the internet and processor. Which makes me want to go out and buy bushiness class internets :D

Seems to be just fine, going on 6 months ; Maxxes out game loading times ; reliable so far ; Easy to configure ; DiskMark- 1 cycle at 50mb 30% capacity ; Seq -210 Read 102 Write ; 512K -202 Read 104 Write ; 4K -27 Read 75 Write ; 4KQD -126 Read 105...
