I think in time SSD may be a standard. My laptop from Sony uses RAID 1 SSD and has worked great for nearly a year now. I'm guessin the OCZ don't have the same level testing performed on them. I would still consider other manufacturer's SSD drives -...

Ridata SSD Series eSATA

Very nice packaging, first use of drive seems speedy, but not more so than other sticks. No U3 "CD-ROM emulation", just a plain drive

Transcend TS16GSSD34E EXPRESSCARD/34 SSD

It's not a super fast drive. It is operating over USB so it will be limited to that speed (I knew this before I bought it). However it does operate faster than many other USB drives. I can't recommend it because of data corruption problems.

Super Talent Luxio 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive STP16GLXSU (Silver)

It worked for 1 maybe two days then began to corrupt on 2 version. I have a stack of 1,2, and 4 gb sticks that work on any computer and any port I can find. If you can't trust your data you might as well not do anything.
