Corsair Force Series GT 120GB SSD Review

Not that long after Corsair's announcement of the Force Series 3 lineup of SSDs the Froce GT series was introduced. In order to keep up with the

Great looks ; Legendary Corsair customer service backstopping this drive ; Large improvement over previous generation's performance ; 2.5” to 3.5” adapter included

Price ; 240GB is noticeably faster ; Slight increase in write latency from previous generation

We like reviewing the best of the best and of course people like reading about it. Seeing what the latest and greatest technology can

Awesome.

Definitely recommend this SSD. I've had friends that haven't had nearly as much luck with other brands, so definitely try this out.

Sped up my computer more than I could imagine. Boot times are unreal and even Photoshop starts up in about a second. I've been using this daily for seven months now without a problem

Solid drive

Fast speed, reliable performance

Was very expensive at the time, drivers and speed are relatively old and slow compared to current technology though still significant gains over even the fastest mechanical drives

Great Product

In the event that there is a problem with a product, Corsair itself has been great with prompt service when you need an RMA.

Overall this SSD gave me the best performance boost in all of the upgrades I have put into it. It has been extremely reliable, and almost 2 years later is still in great health with heavy data usage, compared to the many drives that have failed on me

The only real con to SSDs I have personally experienced is the cost per GB in comparison to a HDD. This is to be expected, and should not really be seen in a negative light

Corsair CSSD-F120GBGT-BK

This was my 1st ssd I've purchased and so naturally I did a bit of research and went with a solid name such as Corsair. It's been about 2 years and this HD is still goin strong. The difference in loading time, file transfer "especially with USB3" is...

When I originally purchased it, the price was a bit high, but looking back I would definitely make the same decision

Dead

Fast start up

Died after a year. PC won't recognize the drive anymore. For the $170 that it cost me, I would suggest staying away from this one

Failure within 2 years

Great boot time, transferr speeds! was a great device

Failed within 2 years. Was running fine, computer went to sleep, and on wakeup, failed. Purchased July 25,2012, Failed November 9, 2013

They work

This SSD changed my world, I have owned it for over 2 years ; At first the firmware had bugs and would freeze or not get recognized, but now it has performed solidly for the last 1.75 years. I use this computer daily (see below) and for being a 2 year...

was 200.00 when purchased and small GB

Best SSD at cost

This SSD is insanely fast and way better compared to the Intels I've used in the past. Install times are quick, cleanups are also quick, and games run like thunder on the open plain. When I buy more SSD's I'm definitely getting more Corsairs

It doesn't come with any cool demon stickers for the case
