Corsair Force Series GT 120GB

Corsair is well known for its high performance memory modules, it has now expanded into manufacturing USB sticks, cases, power supplies and SSDs

Corsair Force Series GT 120GB SSD Review

Not that long after Corsair's announcement of the Force Series 3 lineup of SSDs the Froce GT series was introduced. In order to keep up with the

Great looks ; Legendary Corsair customer service backstopping this drive ; Large improvement over previous generation's performance ; 2.5” to 3.5” adapter included

Price ; 240GB is noticeably faster ; Slight increase in write latency from previous generation

We like reviewing the best of the best and of course people like reading about it. Seeing what the latest and greatest technology can

Still working great since Aug 2012

Currently used as a boot/system drive for a laptop. I've install multiple OS's on this baby already and have experienced no unusual problems yet

Maybe not so quick as newer drives, but the laptop I have is pretty old anyway

Failed 3 months after warranty ended!

Not that I have anything against Corsair. I have many of their products in many of the builds I have done. It just leaves a sour taste in my mouth to have it fail right outside of the warranty!

Worked great for the 3 years I had it. Fast and efficient

Failed right outside of warranty. I understand hard drives fail but it is almost like Corsair knows their product is only gonna last 3 years! Now I have to get through the process of getting a new SSD and installing the OS and restoring all of my files...

Corsair CSSD-F120GBGT-BK

Like any drive that contains the OS and Program Installs, over time they become slower. I normally rebuild a personal system drive every 12 months, as I install lots of test apps for my customers. I have let this SSD run without a rebuild for 3 years...

Very fast with a 28-35 second startup from the push of the power button. It is faster during a "Restart". This has been running 24x7 for 3 years and never crashed once. Running Windows 7 Pro with an i7 Quad core CPU and 16 GB RAM. This drive is as rock...

None that I have noticed

Maintain it or stop selling it

Corsair, you should either do proper updates or stop selling this thing.

None

Like some folks here and many, many more on the Corsair user forum I am having the "drive goes missing in the BIOS" issue. After the reviewing the complaints in their forums it appears that unlike other manufacturers using the same SandForce controller...

Still Runs Strong after 2

SSD still runs strong after 2 years. Made and old system runs faster than new systems with SSD. Nice upgrade to Win 7 system. Easy install

Junk

There should be a ZERO egg rating for junk like this. This is my first ever bad review of anything as I am usually capable of making about anything work. This piece of junk doesn't even qualify as a proper paper weight.

Cheap if you get one that works...50/50 chance or so

Was hard to get it recognized in the beginning but finally got it working. After a couple months,it just completely quit working. It disappeared from my drives ; I tried every SATA port and hot swap bay I have and it is never recognized ; Using third...

No QA = DOA

30 day warranty ready to catch you out. High number of DOA reviews indicates these things aren't being tested well.

Low price for the off chance you get a good one

Dead on arrival. Looking at other reviews indicates this is common
