Corsair Nova Series V128 SSD Performance Review

Corsair's Nova V128 series SSD isn't quite the speed demon that their Force series is on paper, but we've already seen other SSDs with Indilinx controllers punch out decent benchmark results. Really, it's likely a matter of how well their firmware...

Corsair has done a very nice job with their Indilinx-controlled Nova series which has posted results that give other similarly equipped SSD's a run for their money. Money is the keyword here as where the pricing settles will determine how successful...

Slow RMA process

After this experience, I think I will stick with the other top brand of SSD's from now on.

Worked great while it worked

SSD suffered total failure, as if it was getting no power after about 6 months. RMA's are handled through a 3rd party that took a week from the time they received the faulty SSD until they shipped the replacement. This is not acceptable. Receive it,...

Works as advertised

I have this in a heavily modded Acer AOA150 loaded with W7 Ultimate 32bit with 8gb of free space, with all the drivers I need installed. Works great for a portable HTPC, any files I need I get through my network (I.E. Videos/music etc). I stream 1080p...

Works great as a boot drive in my heavily modded Acer Aspire One A150 netbook

Seems to work

Corsair recommends using AHCI not IDE mode in your BIOS on there SSDs I contacted customer support (as this model is not under tech support) trying to track down a lingering issues (which turned out to be from my turning my screen off and on) I asked...

Low cost, it was $55 when I got it, which is less than a new HDD ; It got it advertised read speed before I formated it (a solid 280MB/s), but after formating it to ext4 it dropped about significantly (I think I am getting better speeds after switching...

This drive's model number is not listed in on corsairs site under tech support, but they have a 32gb nova in there ; I got repeated input/output errors when I was installing updates once which throes the system in to read only to prevent damage ; I was...

No workie, no support, back it goes

Tried to contact Corsair support, ticket timed out in less than 5 minutes while I checked specs. Obviously Corsair doesn't want you to send in a ticket if the support ticket info times out in less than 5 minutes before you submit, and you have to start...

Great little SSD

This drive was recommended for price/performance in its size-class by Tom's Hardware.

I purchased this drive to create a robust DIY portable back-up solution for my laptop by pairing it with a 2.5-inch Masscool USB 3.0 external enclosure. This SSD has just the right capacity to back up my Outlook files and other critical data, while not...
