Losing faith in Corsair SSD's

I've noticed a trend with this drive here in the comments page. 80% of the drives die within a year. Although its still under warranty who wants a lemon replaced with another lemon. Corsair should take the high road and replace this obviously flawed...

Loaded the OS in 23 seconds but then again all SSD's do that

Died in 7 months. Had to RMA on 12/29/11 still not replaced on 1/6/12. I don't see why they receive the return one day and a replacement isn't out the door the next day ; Every other comment on this drive is a complaint that it died in xx months

Corsair 115 SSD

I purchased the drive in May of 2011 and it died today, 12/27/2011. That's 7 months. I'm not going to bad mouth Corsair because of one bad experience. I have purchased many of their products threw out the years without problems. My final words will be...

I don't have any comparable information to post but I will say that the OS loaded in about 20 seconds. Which I assume is fast

Turned into a brick in 7 months. Now I have to go threw the whole return process with the manufacture ; I switched the SATA connectors 1/2 with my spinning storage drive to make sure it was not my mobo. Still can't find the SSD with the OS on it

Incredible speeds.

I would recommend to anyone looking for an over all system speed boost. Games load super quick and just normal folder browsing is so much more responsive.

I love this drive. Nothing can compare to the responsiveness of an ssd. When benchmarking with ATTO I get around 250MB write and a 275MB reads on a sata 2 connection and x38 intel chipset. It's amazing to see it actually perform at is theoretical max...

None. Great drive and great price

Corsair Quality

The way I set up SSD's is use the SSD for the OS drive (C:) and programs. Then get a larger spinning drive for your files (Music, pics, docs, videos, etc). I call this drive my U: drive (for Users). Then change the "target' of your "My Documents" ,...

Works with Sandy Bridge and the size is right for a an OS drive only. Comes with a great 2.5 to 3.5 bracket

With all SSDs, price per GB is very high. But you get more advantages then con

Was nice till it died

Would i buy it again? No. Im going to try my luck with other brands. On the other hand my Corsair Flash Voyager 16gb USB stick has been running strong for years.

Fast ; Died in 5 months

Used as my primary drive on my gaming rig. Installed windows and programs - had another hdd for swap and file storage. I was not adding and deleting data constantly, data stayed pretty much the same for the 5 months it worked ; One day 5 months into...

It was relatively fast. Operative word being “was

Drive functioned well for just over 6 months, then crashed. Computer no longer recognizes a drive is present. Nothing I've tried has allowed any computer to recognize this SSD. All data/programs lost. Purchase at your extreme risk...and backup...

Died after 5 months

There have been a lot of reported problems with the type of firmware they use for these SSD's. A lot of creditable people seem to like the Crucial M4 series SSD's. They use a different firmware than Corsair and OCZ and a lot of people claim them to be...

Great running drive, it did it's job and I have really missed it

I had to RMA this after 5 months, I had made no configuration changes to my system and the drive was no longer recognized in my BIOS. It had worked fine the 5 months prior. It did however sometimes hang on windows shutdown for some reason before the crash

Fast Drive but Has Failed

I'm currently 4 months into ownership and I recently went to shutdown my pc and went to bed. I then wake up to see it is in standby and when I power it on, it would show a blank screen. Like there was no video input, I then double checked all the video...

Fast, Cheap, worked right out of the box. Great first SSD

Drive failed after having 4 months

Nice Speed

For anyone who is new to ssd's, I'll recommend checking your BIOS settings and make sure your sata operation is AHCI (and avoid RAID) to enable TRIM before installing your OS. Also, you should run Windows 7, as it is optimized for SSD's (disable...

I have been using this drive for over a few weeks now. It has been really fast and I am quite happy with this purchase

I wish it was cheaper
