The Corsair Force LX (256GB) is a solid-state drive (SSD) with a good capacity at a reasonable price.

Nice Price. Strong performance on most tests. SSD Toolbox software available via download.

Middling large file write speeds. 512GB max capacity. No added accessories for larger laptop and desktop installations.

Corsair Force LX (256GB) Review and Ratings

Aside from ho-hum sequential-write speeds at the 256GB capacity, the Force LX is a solid-performing SSD at a reasonable price.

Low price ; Mostly strong performance ; SSD Toolbox software available via download

Modest sequential-write speeds versus recent drives ; No 1TB option ; No in-box accessories (spacer, transfer cable, or bay adapter)

If the Corsair Force LX were more competitive in large-file writes at its current price, it would be a superior option for budget-conscious enthusiasts and mainstream users who just want the best overall performance for the price. (It very well

Corsair Force LX 256GB Solid State Drive Review

Top read speeds, Good software, One of the cheapest drives, Aluminium casing, Barely effected by conditioning

Mediocre write speeds

When I get a new Corsair product into my hands I expect one thing – for it to work great aand perform at least as advertised. This is simply due to the fact that it has always been for me that way, and this time wasn’t any different. The Corsair Force...

Corsair Force LX 256GB Review

The new Force LX SSD from Corsair looks to set new standards while retaining its appeal to the budget conscious. See how it gets on in our latest review.

Aggressively priced ; Great read speeds ; 7mm Casing

Mediocre Write speed

Knowing that the Corsair Force LX was an SSD designed for the budget conscious we weren't expecting blistering performance but truth be told for the price, we were pleasantly surprised. Not only did the Force LX beat some of the more expensive drives...
