GARBAGE

Corsair blocks the words "OCZ" and "VERTEX" from their forums for a reason... because other companies make other SSD's. I'm going to replace this drive with one from another company, and put this junk in the laptop that collects dust under my desk at...

Consistent speeds in HDTach

1. Slower than my OCZ Vertex II ; 2. Periodically locks up (without crashing) with disk light stuck on ; 2.a. Their recommendation is to secure erase to fix it ; 2.b. After doing that, the issue occurred AGAIN, 2 months later

Working Well

Very noticeable upgrade from a 7,200 rpm drive. Plenty of room for OS and a few games. Load times pretty much gone now ; Quite a few people saying these are failing quickly on them, but so far no issues with the one I've got after a week or two

Packaging and appearance don't seem like they belong on a $500 drive

GARBAGE

STAY AWAY! In fact, I recommend waiting until an SSD comes out and gets nothing but 500-1000 100% reviews after a year of use... other than that, you're flipping a coin. This product doesn't deserve one egg.

Fast when it worked

I picked this up from a retailer in town ; The drive died 5 days (almost to the minute) later ; My OS froze, I rebooted, and everything just hung on the "Start" screen ; I managed to get it mounted externally on a Linux laptop I have as a spare......

Corsair Performance 3 Series CSSD-P3256GB2-BRKT 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Glad I got mine when they dropped on NewEgg. Still 600 plus isnt cheap on a drive this small. Forced to buy this ssd after 2 Vertex Died on me in less then a year. Good timing though :). Rma'd them back to OCZ and sold both. I believe the Controllers...

Speeds are fast. Im running a Cheap highpoint Sata 6 PCI-E adapter and my read speeds are about 400mb and write speeds about 290 write speeds. Im sure it would run faster if I had an MB that had Sata6 from the get go. Still very pleased

Oh my.. This ssd actually went up $140 in price in less than a week. Wish I got 2. Would have mad a nice profit

So Far So Good

I was getting a little nervous after reading the reviews on the initial drive. For me they've been working great so far. Benchmarks through CrystaldiskMark are showing 410/320 Read/Write. Running with a 2600k and Asus P8P67 Deluxe. Real world usage,...

Price. However, I wanted fast, and I feel they delivered

Still working fine

Due to that, I am docking an 'egg" from the final review, although I'm not sending mine back, for my needs it's plenty fast. I also haven't had any problems like described by the other two reviews, mine hasn't been DOA at all. It's plugged into a...

As promised this is an update of my first review, this add benchmarks. It seems like with large files these drives are very fast. Seq. Read of 460 mb/s, Seq. write of 310 to 320 mb/sec depending on what benchmark I use. But, a Crucial C300 on AS SSD...

As stated above, the Crucial C300's will probably benchmark faster on at least some benchmarks, they seem to handle smaller file transfers better then these drives

again?

none

Failed completely and unrecoverable after two days. Well at least it worked for 2 days as the first one I had before this replacement died the first day. I have other SSD's in the Mac Pro and these Corsairs are the only ones dieing. They need to work...

Expensive, but works fine for me.

They are expensive right now, but that's the price for being an early adapter I suppose. I never put price as a con since I figure if I'm willing to pay the price, I can't truly complain. From what I understand this drive is similar or the same to the...

Unlike the first review, my drive didn't show up DOA at all. I'm using a PCI-E card that has 2x SATA III ports that I know is lowering the top speed of this drive on at least the benchmarks I'm using, but when I get my new motherboard this week, I'll...

None really unless the lower then expected benchmarks aren't solved from switching from a PCI-E card to onboard SATA III ports doesn't bring the drive closer to what I'd expect. Check my update about these drives for that information of course
