Still going strong after replacement

I thought the SSD were supposed to last. But just like anything else these days, it doesn't. Edit - Replacement still going strong.

Fast

The drive just stopped working. Kept on giving errors and now the thing doesn't show up at all on any of my computers. edit - Still using drive as an external drive w/enclosure for music (dejaying)

Great fast drive

-Bought in 2012 and it's approaching 2016. Reliable for years. -Speed is what you would expect from a SSD

No Problems and Fast after 4 years

Loading programs (and games) is so fast with this compared to regular HDs. I'll never own another disk hard drive again.

I've had this for 4 years now. When I bought it, I went from about 2 min boot-up time to about 45 seconds from On button push to mouse clicking. Has been very stable - never needed to re-install software. Have not needed any help at all on this. It's...

A bit of breathing room...

A lot of people think you need monster drives (1 TB+), when most people don't even come close to using that much space. And now with ever more streaming and cloud storage, gobs of local storage become unnecessary.

I was quickly running out of room on my 128 GB C300 system drive (thanks a lot Steam), and needed a decent sized application drive. Bigger drives (512 GB or 1 TB+) would've been overkill and expensive for my needs (mechanicals make for bigger, cheaper...

Not a super big drive, but I knew that going in.

Issues

I bought this because of the good reviews, but it seems like there's a lot of people having issues with this drive. I wish I would have purchased a SSD from a different manufacturer.

Quick, well priced.

Incompatible with two motherboards in a row. First motherboard wouldn't always recognize the drive unless powered off first. Second motherboard, the drive keeps spiking to 100% activity for, locking up the computer. This thing actually sat as a...

11 Months - Failed

This was the second SSD I've bought and I was ALWAYS fearful of their fail rates since we read about them so often. Hard to decide if I want another.

Got it at a great price. For day-to-day operations it worked perfectly.

11 Months in I have received a warning that it is failing. Hope my backup completes before it kicks out. I have too much to do.

Failed after 8 months

Fast

Unreliable, even with 70H firmware. This is the 3rd (out of 4) M4 SSD that's failed without warning on me. Crucial has been good about RMA, but this is a waste of time.
