Crucial MX300 (525GB)

The MX300 is the second solid-state drive to use 3D flash memory, as opposed to the traditional, planar 2D flash memory. If you think of each memory cell as a person, then 3D is to 2D flash memory as high rises are to single-family homes. You can house...

The Crucial MX300 SSD is competitively priced and delivers fast performance. The solid-state drive uses efficient 3D flash memory and provides strong security with hardware encryption.

The drive has a short three-year warranty and trails behind its main competitor, the more expensive Samsung 850 Evo, in performance and features.

If you're looking to upgrade your computer's hard drive, the new Crucial MX300 is a speedy and affordable choice.

Crucial MX300 (525GB & 1050GB) Solid State Drives Review

When the MX300 was initially launched Crucial only offered a 750GB version, but now the they have filled out the lineup with 275GB, 525GB, 1TB, and 2TB

– Price ; – Solid mid-range performance ; – Spacer and Acronis True Image HD software activation key included ; – 256 AES encryption

– Only a 3-year warranty

As I said when I first reviewed this drive Crucial’s approach with this drive is the get higher capacity drives in the hands of more people. They are doing this by designing the MX300 to not be the fastest drive out there, but to be a great mid-level...

Crucial MX300 and MX300 M.2 Reviews (525GB & 1TB)

The first drive to feature Intel and Micron's 3D NAND, the MX300 comes in 2.5in and M.2 flavours.

Benchmarking SSDs these days, especially SATA-based ones, is mainly a means for checking for major flaws rather than delving into minute comparisons. It's been the case for some time now that virtually all modern SSDs are suitable for your average home...

Crucial MX300 525GB SATAIII SSD Review

Couple of weeks ago we had a chance to test 750GB version of the MX300 which is the latest Crucial SSD. Since then Crucial released additional capacities of MX300 – 275GB, 525GB and 1TB. There is also available M.2 version of MX300.

High performance ; Inexpensive ; Stable and durable ; Free Acronis HD license ; Momentum Cache

None worth to mention

Crucial MX300 is quite interesting SSD series. Even though it’s not the fastest SSD on the market, it has some features that make it a good option for most users.
