FAst , Stable, 24/7

buy 1 and laugh at other cheap brand whoes got nottun but problems.

Speeds are as rated, iv had this drive in my pc running 24/7 for about a year now, and theres been no problems i have it filled up to 20 gb free.. It is very fast and i recommend getting the latest drivers also becuase they help out alot And also make...

Expensive but worth it for the quality

What could have been.

Don't bother going to the crucial forums for support, your best bet is to avoid 0007 like the plague. The only thing that will happen on the crucial forum is that you and your hardware will be blamed, their mods will act as if you're the first to ever...

Back before FW:0007 they were solid drives. Dependable and fast

Ever since the 0007 update, they have developed a horrible sleeping bug. Most people use this drive as a primary drive, so it crashes on them. I use an always dependable Intel SSD as my primary (never had a sleep crash) so I got to see my computer...

Oh dear

Its a shame. I had so much hope placed on a SSD.

It was a fast, solid drive. SATA 6gbps is hard to beat

Worked fine for the first few months. I am writing this review now because now it doesn't. After my third re-install of Win 7 due to data corruption, its just not worth it anymore. I'm running it as by System disk, and it constantly locks up and...

Save time in the short run, pay it back with interest

I bought this for about $700 in Summer of 2010, and got nine months of good use out of it. Then it died, fairly suddenly, and with no warning. Crucial made me pay to send it to Idaho and wait until they received it and confirmed that it was dead. Then...

Very fast. Works just like a regular HDD

Unreliable, mediocre service from Crucial. You'll love it until it crashes, then you'll regret having bought it

Makes some laptops usable!

Painfully, it was not a drop in place replacement. Dell did not ever intend another SDD to be put in place. I would have prefered to upgrade my entire fleet of E4200's with the Crucial SSD if it had fit without m0dificati0ns to the laptop case.

Replaced Factory installed SSD in a Dell E4200 (Samsung Thin 64GB uSATA MLC) Overall write speed doubled. Handled multiple HDD read\write ops far better then the factory installed. I don't have bench numbers to prove it, but it made a small laptop...

This product is reaching the end of the production line and is already not a current offering by Crucial

Best upgrade ever!

Installed in my 1st gen macbook and it's an entirely new machine! My laptop is now faster than a brand new macbook pro with standard hard drive! Boots in 12 seconds, apps launch instantly. A little pricey, but if you can find a sale it's worth every...

Easy laptop upgrade, massive performance increase

Minor spinning beach ball issues with VLC on OS X. Had to update the firmware and issue is now completely resolved

Failed after 6 days

I will wait till later this summer and take a look at the market again. Need a minimum of 60gig to make a good C drive. Even then need to install most programs on the D drive. Seems many old style rotating drives fail also, so failing problem is not...

Faster than my Vertex 2 in both feel and Win7 scores. Very nice C drive transfer setup program with an included USB cable

First crashed after 4 days. Needed to reimage. Then again crashed after 2 more days with error 'can not write to sector 0" - be sure to make backup images of these drives - the crash is very sudden and final ; Returned for replacement cost $10.00 but...

RealSSD 128GB

I plugged the unit into my PC using the supplied USB cable. Ran the drive clone software, and cloned my "C" drive the SSD. Unplugged everything and replace HDD with SDD drive. Started right up. Speed difference was noticeable right away. If you are on...

Fast ; Easy to set-up ; Seamless

None, other than maybe cost, but it's so darn fast
