Corsair Nova Series V128 128GB SSD

Over the past six months, Corsair has been phasing out its older SSD line-up and replacing it with new series' with catchier names, such as Reactor, Force and Nova. The latter is what we're taking a look at here. The goal of the Nova series is to offer...

On the first page, we spent quite a few words on exploring the various model SSDs Corsair sells on the market, and for one simple reason. Out of all the models listed there are only two worth considering, either because the others were superseded or...

Fast SSD

Win 7 boots up in 10 sec, recommend easy to setup, Cons drive size is small 60GB but does the job for what I need

Consumer review by:

I made this as my OS Hard drive for my new MOBO. The speed of loading was way quicker than my previews motherboard. impressive. i plug this to 6bps sata input. love it! now i just need a bigger space. Reason: The window updates, and hardware updates,...

Not for System Drive

I installed this drive as the system drive and put WinXP on it for testing. System was a dual core Pentium running at 3.4 GHz and it had 3.75 GB of RAM. The drive performed slow with annoying lag times. Installing programs onto this drive was slow...

Good for a backup, not OS

Installed it, and at first I thought it was just something with a clean install that didn't take right. But after looking at the Corsair website, avoid using this drive as a system drive. It is slow, lags whenever you install anything, and programs...

Don't use for your OS

I bought this SSD to install Windows 7 64 on to run my new gaming PC (6 core Athlon II). I installed the OS and everything seemed fine, but I noticed that there was greater than usual lag launching programs and multitasking was virtually nonexistent....

Not a great drive

This drive replaced my 80GB EIDE drive that I've owned since 2003. My bootup time is now ATROCIOUS compared to the bootup time with the EIDE. Drive seems to move slow for no real reason: Fresh install of Win7, Office2k10, Norton Security, and very...

Quiet, lightweight, inexpensive

Terrible Device Would Never Buy From This Company Again

I don't typically cheap out on my technology and I sincerely regret not doing diligent research before buying this.

It was cheap

But it was cheap for a reason. The drive fresh out of the box hung up in my computer. At first I thought it was my internet, but as time passed on I noticed my programs were having the same problem. I got so frustrated with the instability of the drive...

wish i didnt buy it

I would not recommend this drive to anyone. Additionally after reviewing Corsair forums I am not the only one with these problems...

honestly none right now

i have purchased over 30 SSD's over the past year. This i have to say is the worse one. As a slave drive it works great. Has good read/write speeds. But when it has an OS installed my write speeds are no more than15-30megs

WORST DRIVE EVER

Quit selling this drive, it is garbage. I should have listened to the reviews I read. I assumed that it was probably inexperienced users and took the chance anyway because the price was right. However, I have much cheaper paper weights. Plus, I sent in...

It is an SSD, it made my laptop smoking fast for about three days. It makes a great looking paperweight

Too nuemerous to list: Dead, Dosn't work, Worked for about three days, Slowed down before I even had office installed. I put the OS on then Anti-virus and by that time it was slower than a 5400 rpm value drive that was full
