Nice 240GB SSD

Very reliable, does not have the Sandforce 2281 that everyone is having issues with, it has the Sandforce controller that the previous SATA 11 drive had, that was great. Not slow by any means but not as fast as the SATA111 SSDs.

This has enough space for me to do what I need and still have at leasdt 50% of the drive free at all times

Was amazing.....

Was blazing fast, everything opened instantly. Absolutly loved it

After 6 months system began to freeze 5 mins after boot, tried to reinstall and install would hang 5 mins in. Tried other computers in the house no go. Tried to update firmware of drive, etc to no avail. Got an RMA and mailed it in as there is a 3 year...

All drives died!

GSkill will not do advance RMA or pay to ship drive back. They are quick to RMA the drive tho.

Not bad when it works

RMA all drives (1 to NewEgg, 2 to G.Skill) Drive died relatively soon, (> 2 month) after light use. The only drive to keep working is one I RMAed to NewEgg. First batch was from Nov 2010

Been great with my Macbook Pro

If you are running VMWare with your computer, SSD makes a huge difference. The over all experience is just much better. I tried to go back to a hard drive once a while back bc of storage needs, but couldn't stand it after being spoiled by SSD, so I had...

No issues - this is my 2nd G.Skill SSD. Got this one bc my 128GB one 1: was running out of room and 2: did not have Garbage Collection (GC). This newer model does have GC, so since the MBP doesn't support TRIM, GC helps keep it running in tip top shape

None. SSD is the way to go

I bought this to replace the 320 GB Seagate drive that came stock with my Alienware M11X R2. I like knowing if I drop it or knock it off a table the shock won't destroy my drive. SSD's are pretty much indestructible.

Very fast compared to the mechanical hard drive my laptop came with. My laptop is 100% ready-to-use only 38 seconds after pressing the power button. Shutting down Windows is practically instant. All my applications consistently start up within a few...

The included 2.5" - 3.5" adapter is nice but its screw holes line up with a 3.5" floppy drive/card reader bay and not a standard internal drive bay. I used it to install my laptop's old hard drive into a desktop PC and I wasn't able to mount the drive...

Time to upgrade!

Reliable Sandforce based SSD

Cheap for a SSD ($2 per GB) Fast, silent, cool, everything a SSD needs to be

Price per GB can be considered steep

Awesome stuff

Be sure to tweak your installation to avoid unnecessary writes to the SSD and extend its life. This is far more necessary in XP or older Windows OS's, but you can still take a few steps in Windows 7, such as disabling logging and superfetching. Google...

Amazing speed. Installed on a laptop I got two years ago (Intel Core 2 Duo P8400, 3GB RAM) and put an MSDNAA Windows 7 Professional installation on it. The results were spectacular - The fresh install booted up in 25 seconds (including login time) and...

The price increased quite significantly since I got it. I'm glad I made the purchase when I did

Quick Drive

Quick drive, no problems installing it. Enough space for windows 7, dragon age origins, just cause 2 and crysis warhead. Rock on

SSD still a bit pricey for the space you get

Another Sad DOA Story

First, let me say that I've bought a lot of G.Skill memory and never has a problem. This is the first (and potentially the last) G.Skill SSD drive I've purchased. The Crucial and Kingston drives I traditionally buy have never had a failure issue. As...

The SSD specifications look great, the SandForce SF-1200 controller is a great platform but

G.Skill has some disturbing failure rates on these drives. I purchased this drive and some memory for use in a Zotac ZBOX ZBOXHD-ND22-U. On first boot, all looked good - Windows began to load on the drive. After about 4 minutes, the installer threw an...
