Crucial V4 review

 

Solid-state drives are brilliant devices for speeding up your PC, but in the real world not everyone can afford to spend a few hundred pounds on the latest drive. Also, not everyone has the right SATA3 interface to enable the best speeds.

Provides a decent performance boost for SATA2 PCs and is cheap enough to justify the extra capital

bought 10 of these and 8 died within 90 days.

 

all 8 drives came up with no operating system found within 90 days. called crucial and keep getting told to leave computer at bios for 8 hours and drive will be fixed.?...result was no diference no OS/drive found. The only thing the 3 year warrenty has...

Terrible

 

Do not buy any size Crucial V4. After 4 months most that I pruchased have been rendered unusable. Freezing, crashing, and sometimes not even recognizing the boot device. I'm not the only one either there is a huge thread on crucials own website about...

A Step Backwards

 

We upgraded two different Dell laptops to these drives. Both machines became unusable. If we were simply running a single program or browsing the internet, it worked fine. Boot up was quick and power use was amazing. The drive falls down on write...
