Kingston HyperX Savage Black HX426C15SBK4/64 4x16GB Review (Page 1 of 10)

Our review unit of the Kingston HyperX Savage Black HX426C15SBK4/64 4x16GB came in a medium sized, brown corrugated cardboard box from the company's American headquarters in Fountain Valley, California, USA. If you recall our last set of DDR4 RAM...

When it comes to overclocking, one could say the Kingston kit we are reviewing today is quite... savage. Running at stock DDR4-2666 15-15-15-35 1.20V, I loosened up the timings to 17-17-17-39, and bumped the voltage right up to the 1.35V limit to see...

Kingston HyperX Savage (240GB) Review and Ratings

Kingston's latest high-end SATA SSD is the fastest of its kind we've seen on some benchmark tests, and one of the best-looking SSDs, period. Our only quibbles: the small-file write performance, and the cost per gigabyte.

Very fast sequential-read and -write speeds ; Distinctive outer shell ; Upgrade-kit version available with adapters, software, and external drive enclosure

Disappointing speeds with small files ; Costly per gigabyte, especially at higher capacities

In a lot of ways, the Kingston HyperX Savage is an impressive drive. It sports an attractive shell. If you need the extra upgrade stuff, you can buy it with a really nice bundle that includes a drive enclosure, so you can turn your old drive into...

Kingston HyperX Savage 240GB SSD Review

Kingston is one of the companies that was affected during the SandForce merry-go-round of buyouts and acquisitions. Until recently, its HyperX SSD brand shipped exclusively with SandForce controllers. But that's changing.

Kingston HyperX Savage 128GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive Review

With USB 3.1 becoming a de facto standard on all motherboards – despite the fact that Intel did not add it into the Z170 PCH – flash drive

The new Kingston HyperX Savage USB 3.1 Gen 1 flash drive is a very competent product that we have almost zero issues recommending. It is

Fantastic SSD

Had a minor issue during installation that was related to the SATA port I was using on my motherboard, for some reason was getting SATA2 speeds instead of SATA3, despite them being SATA3 ports, switching to the Intel ports on my mobo solved that issue.

First Kingston SSD I've used and so far I'm impressed. The read speeds are right where they should be and the write speeds are slightly higher then what is stated (who can complain about that?)

good

I thought maybe the ridges for the emblem would interfere with installation into my laptop - they did not ; Speeds are as advertised ; Packing the device came in was very sturdy

Good quality sound but...

For a true gaming system You will want at least 2 ssd's in RAID 0 (They must be the same capacity, type and brand for the best performance). Make sure to use a standard hard drive for back-ups and large files so that You can keep from slowing down the...

Super fast and so far reliable. Kingston Hyper X is a brand I trust and I have used Kingston for over 12 years and nothing has ever gone bad ; This is the second HyperX Savage 240 GB ssd I have bought and both have added between 50% to 90% performance...

Great SSD. Poor on Installation

Overall very happy with the speed and performance of the drive so far. Great drive compared to my HDD and really impressed with this so far. I did have to do a chkdsk when trying to clone my C: drive over to the SSD and turn of AHCI, not sure why that...

Price was great $109 plus free shipping. The speed of this compared to my C: Drive HDD from 2009 is just outstanding in comparison. The drive itself looks great as well. Startup is almost instantaneous with my OS and background apps. Prior to this SSD...

The cons about this drive are not all that bad. Tried to mount it in my 3.5" drive bay on my using the bracket and mounting screws that came with this drive. Screws would not line up anywhere on my Roswill Thor V2 Case. Ended up mounting the drive...
