mushkins approach works for me they launch a few model with various features then improve them till they are ,just right.

mushkin support is great and informative ; had to rma one of my first pair, and it was easy peasy

Planned Obsolescence?

I got a good year of performance out of this drive, so I'm not completely dissatisfied. But is it worth the price tag? I don't think so. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I like having good quality products that last longer than 1 year.

Very fast. Nice marks, good performance when it runs. Boots in seconds, shuts down instantly

Died exactly one year after I bought it. Funny how that happens, right? I started having driver crashes randomly, giving me BSODs. Tested every part of my computer, (RAM, GFX Card, etc) turned up no negative results. Even reinstalled my OS because I...

Great little ssd

My case (Rosewill Challenger) had a special cradle designed to adapt to this drive's 2.5" size, without that I'm not sure how I would have mounted the thing. Something to give thought to.

Using as my boot drive for Win7 64 bit Premium, in conjunction with Core i5 2500k, I get boot times under 15 seconds from pushing the power button, not overclocked. I'm very happy with the speed

Could be bigger, but I knew that going in

Love it

Disable your pagefile (if you have +12GB of ram) or move your pagefile to a different drive if you need more room. Same goes for your TEMP folder.

Its Fast ; Its a perfect size for OS only drive ; Fast Read/Write for a 40GB sata II drive

Just fine.

I use these drives for booting up VMWare and local data storage. They perform well and have not failed.

I purchase a lot of SSD drives and I'm picky on performance specs. I found these specs to be in line with what I look for. I like the very high MTBF, in the millions of hours means 70 plus years to average failure. Drives work the first time with...

I have not found any yet

Nice and quick

Presently using it as the OS drive for a g41 based Lion hackintosh.

The perfect upgrade to elimate that last speed bottleneck. TRIM support. Getting 240 MB/sec reads and 216 writes. Just big enough for Win7 and your favorite game

No bracket- double stick tape not the prettiest install method. Mine was silver and not black

Good Product

Bought my first one for $85.99. Fast and reliable

No bracket

Great drive, but...

Don't let the cons fool you, it was only a minor annoyance. This drive is super solid, super fast, and I would very much recommend it. Just understand it doesn't come with a 2.5 -> 3.5 bracket or screws.

Speeds are as advertised. Everything is blazing fast once again (had a SSD before, but had to get rid of it due to BSOD problems) ; 34nm and much higher IOPS than the new 25nm drives. Mushkin actually advertises what nm size their drives are, unlike...

Seriously, the packaging is garbage. A little plastic package that has the drive in it and a little Mushkin card that has its name on it. Really ; I had to actually buy a 2.5" -> 3.5" bracket to fit in my case. Most every other SSD I've seen on...

good ssd

This is my first ssd and I have to say it is really fast. I had no problems installing the ssd in my system and installing win7 on it
