Nice Drive

The REBATE is a real pain. The directions are so flawed that you're guessing all the way through. Lengthy, time-consuming process -- it will leave you feeling frustrated, angry, and with no real hope of ever getting the rebate. That said, I recently...

I'm booting XP-Pro, and it works great. I did a clean install on my old HDD, then cloned it directly to the new Agility SSD. It has worked perfectly ever since (about 6 weeks now). No "alignment" problems, no problems of any sort. **Took one point off...

Your clone/image software probably won't like these SSD drives (obviously not the drive's fault). I used Partition Magic in DOS mode. At first it wouldn't recognize the SSD drive. Kept trying, hitting the button 10 times before it finally recognized...

Better than expected.

These drives are identical to Vertex as far as construction and chipset, but are supposed to be slower because they use more generic memory chips. In every test I've run and in real world use, this drive is exactly just as fast as a Vertex

Better than a mechanical

These will be mainstream soon, and the 'confusion' will be removed (as consumers will go with what works easiest). Happy with purchase and would recommend.

Silent ; Fast boot ; Massive improvement as an OS drive over my Raptor 10k rpm ; Did I say silent and fast boot

Confusing OCZ support forums and instructions ; required firmware update ; Win 7 did not detect drive as an SSD so I had to disable the defrag service ; Lots of new stuff to learn which would be difficult for a novice (trim, disabling defrag) ;...

Works perfectly under Windows 7

This drive is working perfectly in my Toshiba P200 laptop, including resuming from sleep. To replace my C: drive I just popped this drive into the second drive bay in my laptop, cloned the C: drive with Acronis True Image, and then replaced my old C:...

Ridiculously fast compared to my old 7200-RPM hard drive, no problems at all under Windows 7. Drive shipped with the new 1.4 firmware installed which has full TRIM support (although TRIM is not yet support for RAID, the drive does support RAID). I also...

Doesn't resume from sleep in Windows 7

Quiet, low heat, fast

A bit difficult to install in my case - everything is based on rails and the 2.5" to 3.5" adapter doesn't fit in the rails correctly ; The bigger problem is that the drive doesn't appear to resume correctly from sleep on Windows 7. I have an MSDN...

SSDs for the future

This is a great addition to any PC, and you WILL see better performance from applications across the board. It's just not quite as big a jump as you might think having read the hype.

It's fast. It's very fast. An application that previously took about 25-30 seconds to load now launches in 5

The drive is so small, you use up the space quickly (even on the 120GB version). SSDs require extra maintenance until Windows 7 saves mankind and cures cancer

Impressive performance, scumbag rebate company

Not at all impressed with the rebate, but the product is great. OCZ really needs to re-evaluate who handles their rebates.

Bought the 60gb (deactivated, cant leave review), and am very impressed with the benchmarks and performance improvements in writing. Worked flawlessly, and Windows 7 correctly aligned the drive right off the bat which was nice. Seems to be stable and...

Price is very high, and the rebate company is disgustingly scummy. Ask you for a $3 premium to process your order quicker, or you can wait 8-10 weeks. Nice to know we can pay to have them do what should be done quickly in the first place. Wondering if...

Very good so far

My laptop is SATA I - I was a little concerned at the throughput, but I get about 110 to 130 MB/s both read and write, FAR better than my convention HDD's speeds of 25-50 MB/s (depending on where it's reading from on the platter). Programs load...

Very fast, decent price per GB (for an SSD), worked as advertised

Batter Life

Passmark rating confirms that the seq. read and write time did improve 25%. the random seek/write went from 2MB/s to 26MB/s. Overall very happy with the drive. Netbook runs cooler, longer, and faster.

Installed on Acer One 751h and battery life has gone from 6.5 hours to just over 11 hours. No noise. Boot time is a little better as well as over all performance

For the price I was hoping to see a little be better performance

response to John

As a response to John, these drives are preformatted so there should be no reason to format ; Reset motherboard bios to default and install windows vista with only one stick of ram. There was an issue with vista originally if installed with 4gb of ram,...
