OCZ Agility 3 (120GB)

The OCZ Agility 3 is a small step down from its big brother, the OCZ Vertex 3 . The new drive is slower and doesn't include a drive bay converter to conveniently fit in a desktop computer. Other than that, it shares the same design and features as the...

The OCZ Agility 3 solid-state drive supports SATA 6Gbps and offers fast performance. The drive works in any SATA-based storage application and is relatively affordable.

The OCZ Agility 3, though fast, is noticeably slower than other SATA 6Gbps SSDs without being proportionaly cheaper. It's capped at only 240GB, takes a long time to format, and doesn't come with a drive bay converter to fit in a place of a 3.5-inch...

With fast performance and a competitive price, the OCZ Agility 3 SSD makes a very good replacement hard drive for any computer, especially one that has built-in support for SATA 6Gbps.

OCZ Agility 3 2.5" SSD

Over the last year I've had the opportunity to review both ends of OCZ's solid state drive lineup. I've tested the entry level Onyx drive and a couple drives from the high end Vertex series. These drives were at opposite ends of the spectrum when it...

SATA 3 support ; Easy to find on sale (giving you a great SSD for a fraction of the cost) ; Solid performance ; Uses same Sandforce controller as the higher end Vertex 3

Review: OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD

We take a look a the OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD. This SSD delivers in both price and performance. With maximum read speed of 525Mb/sec and write speed of 500Mb/sec. It's one of the fastest SSD on the market. Put it down on your shopping list!

Very fast ; Great price for it's size and performance ; Runs cool ; Totally silent

The more stuff you fill it with, the slower it goes. This is an issue for all drives however, not just this one ; I dislike mail in rebates, I would much prefer the drive simply being priced lower to begin with

This is the second SSD I've tested, it's aimed at a much lower price point market than the first one (and is half the size), but it not only traded blows in the three major benchmarks, this OCZ Agility 3 120GB drive flat out obliterated the PCMark05 XP...

"Great drive at a great price."

Bought this product at my local Micro Center store for under $250 for the 240GB model. I think it is the best bang for the buck. Looked at the Vertex 3 also and compared and i do not think I will notice that much of a difference in performance based on...

Fast, low power consumption and price was fantastic.

Non right now.

unreliable

I used to buy OCZ everything from RAM to Power supply, I won't buy OCZ anymore their customer service is horrible. now that I think about it, I remember they gave me so much trouble when I was trying to RMA my power supply that I just gave up on it.

I brought 2 of these a few months a part, 2 and a half years ago. they ran well untill the first one died a month ago and now the 2nd one is dead too

I brought 2 of these a few months a part, 2 and a half years ago. they ran well untill the first one died a month ago and now the 2nd one is dead too. I'm trying to RMA them since it has a 3 year warranty but OCZ customer service is so BAD. they are...

Unreliable

These drives are very fast while they're still working

I bought two of them and they both failed. The first one was DOA and the second one failed after 4 months of VERY light use

Terrible Reliability

This drive would be great if it actually worked for more then 1 year. Same symptoms each time, BIOS would no longer recognize the drive after a BSOD. The first drive died in a laptop, the RMA'd drive they sent that died was in a desktop (More likely...

Fast

Drive has died TWICE

Works if you want it for storage...

Waiting to get it RMA'd. hopefully the next one works so I can change my rating.

Fast, cheap and basically everything an SSD is meant to be... BUT

DON'T expect to boot from it. I've tried three seperate computer to install windows and use it as my boot drive and nothing works. There's literally no point in owning this

I have purchased OCZ in the past and have had no trouble. I like the boot speed on these things and for all intents and purposes that fast boot up is why I use ssd, otherwise they are very short on storage space for the price and in real world...

Price wasn't too bad considering the size. Works like any other drive, just plug it in and go for the most part. Small, lightweight, shock resistant and with no moving parts runs silent obviously. On a clean install my boot time was under 30 seconds....

They claim all kinds of crazy speed on the transfer rates. In real life situations expect around 160mb per second. I can get higher numbers with specialized bench marking software settings to create the ideal conditions for the drive. But thats just...
