In the following table, we present all the test values in comparison to the Samsung SSD 840 Pro, the Intel SSD 520 and the Vertex 4. On average, the 840 Pro just barely supersedes the Vector 256 GB. You can clearly see the improvement in performance in...

OCZ Vector 256GB SSD Review

Extremely fast in every test; Looks and feels high quality; five-year warranty

Expensive

Say hello to what most of us would have considered the new OCZ Vertex 5 SSD: the OCZ Vector 256GB SSD. That’s right; this isn’t some offshoot, sub-par asynchronous NAND-using bargain basement drive, but OCZ’s new benchmark-busting flagship SSD, and the...

We have in our labs OCZ' s latest SATA solid state drive, the Vector 256GB SSD. The Vector SSD Series is featuring the company's next-generation Indilinx Barefoot 3 controller and promises to provide exceptional input/output operations per second...

Overall we are impressed by the Vector, as it proved to be a solid step forward for OCZ compared to the Vertex 4, highly competitive to other high-performing SSDs such as Samsung's offerings and still, very reliable and stable during operation.

Do not depend on this drive for safe data ***

The performance is good, I think in-time OCZ will figure this out. However, they should of solved this before they shipped to consumers. For now on, I simply cannot trust their products. I am sorry OCZ but this drive blows.

Fast

When I think of SSD the first thing comes to my mind is dependability and performance. Albeit, generally the case, but not with this drive. Before I ordered I called OCZ and asked tech support if I can depend on this drive, there answer was "Yes". I...

The drive died after just a few months of ownership. At first I starting getting the windows repair prompt and then that turned into not booting at all and now this morning BIOS will not recognize the drive. This is after blowing away the drive and...
