Plextor M6S 128GB

Available in three capacities -- 128GB, 258GB, and 512GB, with the suggested retail prices of $140, $250, and $500, respectively -- the new M6S is the first I've seen from Plextor that costs less than $1 per gigabyte at launch. That's a welcome change...

The Plextor M6S has low power consumption and is a great performance upgrade for a computer that still runs on a regular hard drive.

Compared with other solid-state drives on the market, the M6S' performance is disappointing. It also comes with only a short three-year warranty.

With unimpressive performance that doesn't match its high price, there's no reason why you should pick the Plextor M6S over other SSDs on the market.

SSD with a punch, revised!

I'll keep this review short, as it is a correction of my previous post due to the inability to edit reviews. I've owned this product just under 2 months, not 11 as previously stated.

As this is my very first SSD, this rating might be biased due to how well this has served me thus far. As of now, 2 months down the road, the SSD is alive and kicking, still running just as fast as the day I first hooked it up. Quiet as can be, never...

The write speed is on the lower end compared to other moderately-priced SSD's. But for the price, you get what you pay for and then some. Not much of a con, but yeah
