PNY XLR8 4GB DDR3-1600

Sleek, fast overclocking modules at an excellent price.

Not all memory modules offer the same performance, most notably in the overclocking potential. As we saw today when we ran the PNY modules alongside some popular G.Skill Ripjaws sticks in side-by-side comparisons at identical speeds and ...

They Died to soon

I bought two of these on cyber Monday of 2014. One for me and another for my brother for christmas. Mine was dead by February 2015 and his died about January of 2016.

Blazing fast while they worked. Good price.

They stopped working and no computer or device could read them. Everything on them was lost.

Good whilst it lasted

Slightly annoyed as the drive failed a little after a year, but them's the breaks I guess. Should've just paid the extra and got a Samsung drive.

Product worked great for about a year or so. Super fast as one would expect with an SSD.

After about a year (maybe year and a half) I noticed the system begin to freeze intermittently. Looking at the resource monitor it drive activity was continuously at 100%, even though data transfer rates were low. Latency was getting into the...

-Would not recommend to anyone -Would not buy again

-Worked as intended -Fast at first but slowed down gradually even with being written to very little

-Failed in 10 months with no warning, fine one night, next morning completely undetectable

Good while it lasted.

-Would I recommend? Let's go with NO. I used to love PNY... after getting rejected for an RMA because I purchased from "NewEgg, I was told I couldn't prove I was the original purchaser." I will no longer buy anything made by or being sponsered by PNY....

While it worked, I experienced the following: - Amazing boot speed

- Died 6 months after purchase... it didn't die slowly, either. It was running perfect one evening, the next morning it locked up somehow. I didn't even know it was possible for a SSD to do that. Now when I try to access it in any way it freezes. I...

Horrible product. Died a month or so after use.

Going to contact PNY for a replacement.

After reading around my suspicions are correct. PNY is selling people defected SDDs. Mine died roughly a month after usage. No SSD on the market should be like this. If you know what's good for you, stay away!
