Too big - beware

Newegg rocks :-)

Was going to have it as OS drive for home NAS 32 GB could have Linux (NAS) and Windows (MediaCenter)partitions for dual boot

This card is TOO big. Regular size is 3cm X 5cm, half size even smaller, but this one is 3cm X 7cm and it doesn't fit anywhere .... except ; EeePC 900,901,903,905,1000 series" - quote from back of the package ; Newegg, please put card size into item...

Not Really Mini PCIe

DO NOT BUY unless you are upgrading an EEEPC. You cannot return this item, so if you bought it assuming it would work in any MiniPCIe slot you are out of luck. I think this is a shady listing and NewEgg should fix it immediately, or remove it.

supposedly works with eeepcs ; DO NOT BUY unless you are upgrading an EEEPC

I bought this since it said it was a Mini PCIe, i had no idea that the (PATA) after the PCIe meant that this is not a standard Mini-PCIe form factor, it is ~20 mm too long to fit in a standard Mini-PCIe socket ; Which means that it is only useful to...

It works!

I bought this to fix the 901 issues with trying to maintain an OS in the original 4 gig primary. The factory 4 gig was faster than the 8 gig secondary it shipped with so ASUS put the OS there. XP barely fit to start with and the patches plus a little...

It works fine in a Asus EEE 901. Only took about 5 minutes to install. Four screws out and back that's it. Replaces the 8 gig secondary. Machine had no problems recognizing the new drive and the increased size. Read and write speeds seem much better....

None that I've found

Bigger Than 16GB...

I used this to upgrade my ASUS Eee PC 701SD, a very bare-bones laptop that has barely enough space on the included Samsung SSD to run Windows XP. With this RiDATA upgrade, I was able to install Windows 7 and it runs quite smoothly. SSDs are still...

lightning quick ; low power consumption

costs half as much as my entire netbook

Great Product

High Recomend on this product.....

I bought this for my wifes Eee PC 900A - It works great - install is very simple - data transfer rates seem much faster than the stock 4gb drive that came in this system. Although Im used to much larger drives it still has a great deal of free space...

None - other than these still have a pretty high price since they are still a pretty new item

It works!

eeePC 900, 2GB Ram, 32GB RiData Primary Boot, Windows 7, MS Office 2003 and latest Blackberry Desktop Manager . . . this thing rocks!

Installs as advertised! Total of 2 minutes to install (1.5 minutes to find my screwdriver set) and machine booted without argument! Installed Windows 7 and this ASUS eeePC 900 is an ANIMAL

None yet! Still can't believe such a smooth transition

Works like a champ!

Maybe RiData has a 64GB model in the wings?

2 minutes to install (only because it took 1.5 minutes to find my screw driver set). Booted first time without hessitation ; This drive and a 2GB memory module has actually turned my eeePC 900 into an animal

Nothing to complain about

Not compatible with 900A

Don't know

Doesn't work with Asus Eee PC 900A. This specific model is not listed as being supported in their documentation either. If you try to install it, it will show up as a 16MB drive in the BIOS
