Great to start, Now not so much

I currently have an email out to RiData requesting an RMA#. Hopefully they will replace the drive quickly and I can see about changing my rating.

The drive worked pretty well for about 10 months

After 10 months or so windows would bluescreen just after the boot screen. Saying something about a corrupt drive. i was able to connect it to my desktop via a usb adapter and pull off all my files. That is however the extent of what I can do with it...

Bad Quality

I thought about getting another one but the time frame at which this model failed just wasn't worth it. Next time I'll just pay for a better model.

When it worked it was decent for an SSD

Lasted only 2 weeks! I guess I got what I paid for

Bummer

None

Doesn't work with my ATOM ION (ZOTAC IONITX-A-U) motherboard. The first unit that arrived wouldn't function (SATA interface error) and also threw up data errors when connected to another motherboard (Gigabyte K8N). NewEgg did a great job swapping it...

Serious problems

I installed one of these on a server, intending it to run the host OS for some guest virtual machines. Solid state, so this would not be the point of failure, yes? Foolish thought. This drive is now stuck in a server in colocation three hundred miles...

Is a SSD ; Stores data

Has trouble detecting on reboot

Slow for SSD

I bought three of these SLC drives. I own 7 Samsung SLC and a couple of OCZ Vertex. All of these drives are 30 GB for Raid 10 on Linux File Server and boot drives. I can't return the RiData but I would if I could. Bought for 134 on sale but now would...

Fast access time, low energy use. Works with SATA on motherboard

Won't work with my external USB. Slightly nonstandard size requires tweeking external enclosure. Only 1/2 to 2/3 as fast as first generation Samsung SLC. Only 1/4 the speed of OCZ Vertex MLC. Would take 3 in Raid 0 to polute a slow PCI bus. Speed was...

Must buy

I moved from Vista to Win7. It takes only 10 to 12GB. It allows me to have more usable space on disk. On my desktop I am using it as a boot drive. Same great results.

I bought it for a baseline Toshiba laptop. It is amazing!!! This laptop is usable in less than 50 seconds. This time includes POST, booting and loading of trendmicro anti-virus program. I got two of these when price was in 130's

This is the best product of the year!

Their website really helps a lot! And it tells how to get the 2.5" adaptor switch it to regular 3.5" regular hard drive size and screw it to hard drive bay.

we bought the RIDATA 2.5" SATA SSD. It is true 3.0G/s, that is SATA II. Tested in my notebook and desktop. Both worked!!! I do have Gigabyte nVidia 680i motherboard, after down load nVidia driver, the computer recognized it as a regular hard drive ;...

no! if the price is lower, I may buy more. I heard they performed much better under RAID 0. Will try it later

bad

To say I'm getting very angry at this expensive piece of equipment is an understatement.

Would be nice if it worked or was compatible with my stuff

Ritekusa tech support trying to get this to work with any of my systems. This is my second one after sending the first one back, and still no go. Their tech support is unhelpful, unavailable, and misleading

Waiting for improvements to SSD is better.

Nice small package. Boots fast into Vista Ultimate 64bit

No way to mount into a normal desktop case. I just used double-face tape. My raptors give far superior performance over this product. Not worth the money for a desktop
