Most Excellent

Although my main case runs Win 7 Pro and quad core Phenom, this swap rack made it easier to make the decision to resurrect my old K8N Neo sitting in the attic. Both boxes now run side by side and with Synergy [peripheral sharing software] I can run all...

Great looks and sturdy. Used as a solution to upgrade old MSI K8N Neo board with SATA drives so that I can run different OS's Win 98, XP Pro, Linux etc., and no re-investment of thousands of bucks [for me] in upgrading old, but good engineering...

works

I like the fact that i can put my 2.5 drives in, and with AHCI setup they can be hot swapped easily. These work and are useful for my purposes, so i would highly recommend this device.

Price, fits in 3.5 bay, lights work, matches my Lian Li case

HDD Breather Hole blocked

I first bought this tray to be able to mount 2 hard drives in one 3.5" bay. After having 2 drives die while being mounted in the lower tray, I now know better. - If you must have two 2.5" drives, please look into getting 2 bays that can hold one drive...

Easy Installation ; Hot Swapping works, as long as you make sure to spin down the HDD first ; Works with Ubuntu 10.10 ; Inserting and ejecting the hard drive is smooth

12 MM drives are not supported ; A hard drive cannot be used safely in the lower tray, because the upper tray's holes do not leave an opening for the breather hole on the lower hard drive. This has killed 2 hard drives before I realised what was...

Good Product

a good buy and the price is decent...

Works just fine for any 2.5" hard drive, the speeds are the same, and inserting and removing drives are easy

the pre-drilled holes are not exactly the same distance apart as a 3.5" hard drive which is what i had hope it would be so that i could put it in a 3.5" hard drive bay so i just put it in without screws. rose will should have made it with 1 power input...

Well constructed.

Good construction, good price, easy to use

Be nice to have a single power plug for both drives and the LED's (to mitigate the number of cables)

Great

Works well. Very well built. I store all my videos on cheap laptop HDs and hot swap them in and out in one bay and the other is a hot swap bay for my DVR recordings. when it's full I swap in the oldest of 4 temp drives and wipe it and let the DVR keep...

nice tray

works great! nice, really nice. Great price

1. Requires 2 power cables, why not just 1 ; 2. Need to use the provided power cable because it has a branch cable for the LED light ; I had to find a Y-cable to split the power to 2 and then attach the provided cables, so the wire became kind of long

Good Product

SSD speed is the same (still getting 250 MB/s read/write). Looks really good. Hot swap works flawlessly (make sure you are not under IDE). If you don't want HDD lights, just don't connect the wire plug for the lights

Great 2.5 HDD Reader

I had to write a script in order to get the hard drives to spin down before being able to hot swap the drive. This isn't really an issue with the hot swap bay, but more of an issue with Ubuntu. Just remember that you need to make sure that the drive...

Easy Installation ; Hot Swapping works, as long as you make sure to spin down the HDD first ; Works with Ubuntu 10.10 ; Inserting and ejecting the hard drive is smooth

Need to use the included power cables for the LED light to work. Not too much of an issue though ; Does not support 12 mm hard drives
