Samsung 830 (256GB, SSD, Notebook Kit)

It's really hard to rate a solid-state drive (SSD) without knowing its exact pricing, and that's just what we had to do with the Samsung 830 series. Samsung has been very tight-lipped about how much the 830 costs and will not reveal that until the...

The 2.5-inch SATA 3 (6Gbps)-based Samsung 830 series solid-state drive offers great performance, is well-built and good-looking. The drive comes with helpful desktop software for Windows.

Due to the thin profile, the Samsung 830 series requires padding or a laptop kit, which costs extra, to fit in most existing laptop computers.

If the price is right, you don't need to look any further than the Samsung 830 series to upgrade your computer's internal storage to the best possible performance.

"Absolute awesomeness"

This is the absolute best $260 I've spent on a tech product for a laptop (or desktop for that matter)ever. This is a no brainer. 256GB is plenty for an operating system and games and even adobe products to do image and video editing on... I would have...

-Super fast at everything

I have had none yet at all

Impressed..

I'm quite impressed with this SSD drive. I previously bought a Crucial 128GB SSD that was a huge PIA. It crashed a lot, lots of blue screens, and getting a Windows 7 install was impossible. This drive - no problems since buying it back in November. I'm...

It wasn't free? It isn't larger? All things I knew before I bought it

Samsung 830 Series SSD (256GB) storage device

An extremely high-performance (and extremely expensive) solid-state disk

Outstanding performance

Still expensive compared with a standard disk at a similar capacity

Superb performance matched with a suite of utilities to keep the disk's performance as high as possible
