Impressive Performance

I used this in a system build for a client. He didn't want to deal with having an SSD and HD in his system, so I decided to add this drive. He gets the speedy boot times while seeing only one drive.

Easy install, noticeably performance improvement

Doesn't bake bacon

Durable and Rapid

Installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS on this drive. Twice. Additionally this device has withstood dozens of hot resets and incomplete shutdowns while I tried to iron out some hardware issues with my latest build. It's light and compact but tough...

Lightweight and compact. Fast! Durable too - note Other Thoughts

Enough for Windows 7 OS

It's big enough to fit my Windows 7 OS, with around 7-9GB to spare. I disabled a few minor features like hibernation to save a few GB here and there, but I don't think it was necessary to do so ; I managed to get this on sale as well, so it was an...

Just a toy

it came free with the NetTop I order as a VMware ESXi Server

does not help windows 7 x64 a bit. I have 24 gigs of ram in my workstation and this thing shows it has cached 23 GIG, it is using 28 meg of the SSD for cache now. The HD still thrashes so I would suggest you just go buy a SSD for your boot drive. Use...

Endless cache resets

I wish the software worked better. I may try installing Windows 7 on it. As small as it is I'm not too sure how well it will work. I'll probably have to move the user folders to a hard drive.

Works well when it works

Cache resets often. I keep getting an error that says it can't work because I partitioned the drive. I haven't. It starts working again after a system restart (and it may end up resetting the cache again.)

Latest Software Breaks This Product

I've been a Sandisk customer for 9 years but this has been a terrible experience and I'm very disappointed with this company.

This used to be an amazing product. I never had any issues and it sped up everything my PC did. My boot time went from over a minute to a speedy 15 seconds total. It quickly learned my favorite apps and made everything load and behave very snappy. It...

Sandisk broke this product with ExpressCache version 1.2.1. Ever since updating I constantly get a message from the GUI that the cache is being reset, up to multiple times a day. Also, the OS 'freezes' for 10 seconds while Windows 7 is booting and the...

Was able to return

Newegg is very good to deal with.

I left a 1 egg review based on not being able to return an unopened drive and not being able to get it to work on my controller. Newegg agreed to take back the unioened drive, and I stuck the opened one in another machine so I'm semi-happy and this...

Couldn't get it to work with Si3114 controller

Pretty Good, But...

ReadyCache works great for speeding up hard drive access. I was impressed as I did not want to spend the money or go through converting my hard drive to a true SSD drive

No matter which SATA port I connect the ReadyCache to, my DVD reader/writer will not work. For some reason either the driver for the ReadyCache or the actual working of the ReadyCache makes the DVD unusable. The DVD shows up in the list of available...

Never could get it to work with Si3114 controller

Eggs taken off for return policy. I bought two, so have an unopened one I can't return.

Cheap, light

My Si3114 based SATA controller card refused to work with this drive. It worked with some old platter drives I had and a OCZ Agility 2 SSD, but didn't like this one ; It may say "Standard return Policy

Great, when it worked

It ran Windows 8.1 fine for about 30 mins, then all programs stop responding, all audio cuts and i'm forced to restart. When I turn it back on Win 8 says it can't find the MBR. So I boot into Win 7 and check Disk Management, it's not even showing up...

Fast little drive ; Boots Windows 8.1 in 10 seconds

Disk failed within the hour
