Review: Creative Sound Blaster Roar portable Bluetooth speaker

When Creative announced its new Sound Blaster Roar speaker, a couple of features stood out as unusual. The in-built siren and the "life-saver mode" that plays loud noises to keep you awake seemed at odds with its main focus of premium quality audio....

The Creative Sound Blast Roar is listed for US$199 by Creative and is currently being rolled out globally.

Creative Labs have been a dominant force in the gaming audio scene for some time now starting out with sound cards and speakers. Now they're moving into headsets and wireless devices. In fact, we have not seen a new sound card from Creative Labs for...

Creative Sound Blaster Roar review

Creative is one of those companies that doesn't muck around trying to be a super-cool Beats or new-wave trendy Bluetooth speaker company. It relies on what it knows best: delivering quality sound.

Great sound, really loud, decent bass levels, independent device volume control, good battery life, record/conference/go wild

Less omni-directional than some competitors, Bluetooth range seemed short, some of the extras are bonkers

Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Wrath Wireless Gaming Headset review

Can amazing sound quality and true wireless capabilities make up for shoddy software and console limitations?

Amazing sound quality ; Easy to setu ; Removable mic ; Long-lasting battery

Not comatible with consoles ; Headset can be a bit tight ; Software doesn't work well on Macs

Creative Sound Blaster EVO ZxR

An expensive gaming headset that delivers excellent sound

Comfortable fit ; Clear mic quality ; Enhancing SBX audio processor

Expensive ; Bass-heavy ; Plastic build

If you have more than £200 to spend on a gaming headset these will not disappoint. We just wouldn’t wear them outside of the house.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster Recon3D PCIe Fatal1ty Professional review

The original USB version of the Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D, is an external sound card that works with both consoles and computers but only supports stereo sound. This latest version is an internal PCI Express card with 5.1 analogue outputs for PC...

It sounds great and its drivers are feature packed and easy to use, but you can get very similar performance from the cheaper non-Fatal1ty version
