One Year Later...

On first listen - I would have given this speaker a 3. Now, a year later, it no longer works. At all. We loved the look of this system - unfussy and blends in well on the back porch of our craftsman bungalow. But from the beginning, the connection was...

Disappointing Sound

I love the concept. I love the design. But I should have listened to the reviews that mentioned poor sound quality. The volume is not great, which in itself is not all bad. But each time a base note is played it "whomps" and the whomping can be heard...

decent, but not great

This unit isn't perfect, but is relatively sturdy, fairly inexpensive, and works fairly well. PROS * Good signal strength - I tested it at various spots in my house and yard and never had an issue with receiving a signal * Cute design - looks a bit...

Starts off good....

I have gone through 2 of these speakers this summer, the most recent having returned today. It is cute and functional with great sound...in the beginning. After about a months use, the speaker seems to blow and all sound is fuzzy and very in and out....

Underpowered, rather flimsy, for background only

I had some great AR towers in the '70s, they kicked serious ass. Tight three way crossover, quality cones, real sound at a fair price. So I had high hopes that AR still delivers the goods. Sigh. Just another Made In Crapland product. Cheap plastic...

Tested Sound, Signal & Distance - All Passed with High Marks

Length:: 4:17 Mins Although I find the look of this speaker to be a little unusual, I got over that quickly. It has definitely become a useful tool, especially for outdoors, and the look is clearly designed to enhance its weather resistance and...

Great for outdoors, probably need 2

Got this speaker a couple of days ago and set it up on my porch. Sound was pretty good on batteries, but I think it is better plugged in. Would be fantastic if you could have a set of them in stereo, that would be very cool. Very simple to setup, I...

Really Need Two Speakers to Get the Full Benefit

I am happy to have received one speaker. And it's from a company that I really LOVE. I have "ancient" Acoustic Research speakers in my basement and they work great. These speakers are designed to work outdoors. It appears that you can house your iPOD...
