Altec Lansing inMotion Air iMW725

Streams music from source via either USB dongle or Bluetooth. Remote controls iTunes and paired Bluetooth devices. Susbtantial low-end for a portable unit. Overall sound quality is above average

Despite solid audio quality, the unit distorts at high volumes. No physical iPod dock connection

Review: Altec Lansing Orbit-MP3 iM207 Portable Audio System

The pocket speaker market for iPods and iPhones has traditionally been dominated by a single type of listening device: a pair of small speaker drivers, mounted in an iPod-width tube or box, and designed to sit on the iPod's top or bottom. We've liked...

A simple and highly portable, large pocket-sized speaker that works with both iPods and iPhones, using three AAA batteries for 24 hours of run time. Provides relatively rich sound that continues to sound very good at higher volumes. Neutral black,...

Single driver design has no stereo separation ; system is device-agnostic and doesn't provide any type of iPod or iPhone dock. Full-range speaker inside is good across entire range but a little weaker in treble than competitors. No power port or...

This isn't to say that Orbit-MP3 is perfect. We really liked the way Altec blended the power switch with the speaker grille, but found that it rarely shifts perfectly into either the "on" or "off" position on your first try. In addition to its lack of...

Review: Altec Lansing inMotion

The iPod is designed to be listened to by one person, or maybe shared with a headphone splitter among two. For anything more than that, connection to a stereo or computer speakers is a requirement. Unfortunately, that results in a few bulky pieces of...

Easy set up, small, surprisingly good sound from small speakers, doubles as an iPod dock, carry bag included, AUX input

Price tag, and simple design might put some off, almost all cases incompatible

The Altec Lansing inMotion speakers are an excellent extension to the iPod for the right niche of consumers.

Altec Lansing inMotion Air

The Altec Lansing inMotion Air has a very impressive sound quality and a sturdy, useful design. It is portable and very simple to use. However, the sound range is not quite as powerful as some other similar units that offer more drivers. Also, this...

The Bluetooth speaker is compact and easy to carry

There are only two drivers and no iPod or iPhone dock

We recommend this speaker for its versatility, serving as a standalone speaker and a travel unit.

Altec Lansing Orbit-MP3 im207

I think you have to consider the reality of a small portable speaker like the Orbit. Any speaker this small you would have to expect a pretty low quality sound. There just hasn't been any portable speakers this size that have anything close to quality...

Convenient, long battery life, good sound

not alot of bass

Very good!"

It worked great, and although it's too bad it...

It's small and loud! Sounds great

The on off switch takes some getting used to, and mine died after about 6 months steady use (the wire broke where it connects to the actual speaker)

I bought this thing for 12 dollars on the clearance rack at walmart expecting it to be another disappointment dew to the fact that I own 5 or six different portable speaker systems that have done nothing but disappoint, some cost more, some cost less...

I came across the Orbit speaker tonight at my local Wal-Mart on sale for $5. I bought two of them because I figured "What do you have to loose for $10 except for $10." I attached one of the speakers to my HTC Touch pro as soon as I got home and I was...

Extremely portable. Wonderful sound quality. Attractive design. Built-in cable management

On/off switch is hard to twist. No LED power indicator. Short audio cable
