BRACKET doesn't fit micro ATX AM2

Thanks Xigmatek for follow up and support, unfortunately although the crossbow mount fits AM2 socket but the mounting brackets (LGA775) that come sit on crossbow need their size revised specifically for this mounting kit.

feels and looks solid ; Good support from Xigmatek

doesn't fit micro ATX motherboard AM2 socket (gigabyte in my case), Two feet of mounting BRACKET when to be mounted on the crossbow come in touch with capacitors and circuits

It Works.

4/5 eggs because of the price. If it were five to six dollars it would be a solid 5/5

Works good, feels sold

10 bucks for two small peices of plastic is a bit much

Takes a bit of work

you do need the original mounting brackets that came with your HSF

It works, lets me use a socket 775 water cooling system with an older AMD processor

works so cant really say anything bad

Excellent Product

Why did these two pieces of plastic, four screws and four nuts cost me 12 bucks shipped?

Works exactly as advertised and allows east-west mounting (helle even the standard mounting) of AMD CPU coolers as opposed to the standard north-south orientation

After using these for several installs i can't believe this isn't standard in AMD CPU cooler packages by now

Necessary if you use the Xigamatek SD1283

Four Eggs , 1 subtracted because of the price. This is really a necessity if you use the Xigmatek SD1283 the pushpins that come with this cooler are not the best you need this to hold the cooler down and provide better contact/cooling for AMD cpu....

Easy to install

Instructions not the best ; Price, Xigmatek should have included this in their SD1283 cooler but instead gave us push pins that are iffy at best for holding the cooler. Theres no viable reason for it not to have been included in the SD1283 for AMD cpus

I like it

Used this on an ASRock 870 Extreme3. No mounting issues what so ever.

Works very well. Used this to mount a Thermaltake TMG i2 onto my Athlon II x3 445. Couldn't be happier

Price is a bit steep but after installation I can't complain. Even for the price I will deffinently purchase again

If your motherboard (mine was foxconn) has recessed screws on the original bracket you will be without a means to attach this retention bracket.

Good idea. Needed an option to turn the amd coolers

It reuses the original retention screw from the mother board. In my case were too short to use with this retention bracket. Will have to find longer screws to use this bracket

A must for Amd chips

Better pressure than Amd clip. Allows heat sink to be turned so air is blown out the back of the case, keeps airflow going in right direction

saved me a couple of days and a lot of nerves !

Helps when you are switching from intel to amd ; Also if your heatsink is 2 big to fit the other way, it might be over you RAM slots

maybe price, not that big of a deal

Solid and functional

I did have to remove mainboard to tighten spring screws-not a big deal.

A great way to keep using my Xigmatek cooler and point it towards the rear of Antec Sonata case

The instructions printed on the actual packaging are not good - next time install would take a fraction of the first time
