Bose Acoustimass 10

All-in-all a great offering from Bose, but too pricey for my taste. In fact, I think it is one of the better speaker systems from them (read some of my other opinions). If you're building a high-end system and want only the best, then they're probably...

Bose AM 10 great

I am sure there are better speakers producing amazing sound but end of the day people also have to consider the fact of costing. I have spent three weeks looking for speakers, looked at everything I could from samsung, bang & Olufsen, Keff, B&W, JBL,...

Easy to use

Quality often misunderstood

Some bad press in many places about Bose. I can honestly tell you that it's bogus. This system is matched to a pair of high end speakers and sounds great, period.

Although I did not purchase this system through newegg, I've set it up to complete a 7.1 system with a pair of B&W Matrix series 2 speakers, powered by an Onkyo NR-807. What matters most is the end result and in my case it's flawless. BluRay concerts,...

Great speakers by a great company

I wish there was some way to purchase the newest incarnation of the system without totally replacing my current speaker set. Possibly by the time I do decide to upgrade my theatre setup, I will take the plunge and re-purchase the newest set (this one...

I will confess. I dont own this current iteration of the Acoustimass system. My system only includes 3 cubes (left, right and center channels) plus the bass module. The cubes are the identical makeup of the cubes included in this set though, as is the...

The bass isnt as "thumpy" as I would like but it does vibrate the entire house when you have the appropriate music playing (or heavily sound effects laden movie). Its been a running joke in my neighborhood since I first purchased these speakers that...

Don't deny yourself the pleasures of sound!!!

You get your bang for your buck. Sounds awesome, as I paired them with Onyko SR-TX608. One thing to keep in mind is that these speakers are rated up to 200 watts, so remember to setup your reciver to dectect and use them as "Large" speakers, and setup...

1. Super fast setup ; 2. positive and negitive cables color coded ; 3. and all the cables are color coded according to speaker location ; 4. Even a Cave Man can do it

No cave man came over to my house to do it

Well worth the money

I have had these speakers for almost 3 years now and I must say that they are simply amazing. These speakers, that aren't much bigger than my palm, have sound quality that you would expect from a speaker 25x its size. Had someone told me that they were...

Small in size ; Great sound quality

Price (however you do get what you pay for)

If you need a compact system, take a look at Orbs. Best compact speakers that'll kill this system any day. The thing that kills this system is that it's an awful value. It sounds O.K., but it's not worth anything NEAR its cost.

Sounds decent. Not for the money, but we'll get to that in the cons ; Small. Size is a serious issue if you're in a smaller room or if you have a wife that hates giant towers of speakers ; Has enough power to fill a small-medium room

Terrible sound quality for the money. It sounds nice and warm compared to Sony and other major electronics manufacturers, but once you hear other brands such as Polk, Infinity, Energy, you'll never want a Bose system ; Poor construction quality. Paper...

Good system

Since I have only size, wiring and weight as my cons, I can say this is a good buy. It does what it is supposed to do very well.

Very clear, crisp and amazing sound quality. Bi-Directional speakers help if you have a larger room ; It works very well with an Onkyo receiver. Also, the speakers look good...hence good wife approval factor to put them up. :D ; Overall a good system

The acoustimass module is huge and heavy ; I am sure there are no stones in them, but it sure feels like that ; One more thing is that the wires have to go from reciever to the acoustimass module and then from the module to each speaker. This means,...

Some advice for prospective buyers. Do not lean the subwoofer forward or backward to access the I/O ports. Lay the module on its side. Other than that if you want good sound, don't waste your money on cheaper systems that you'll regret buying later....

It was a good deal with the Onkyo reciever combo, significantly less expensive than say, at Circuit City for the same thing. It was made even better with the fact that I had free shipping on both. As for the speakers themselves, they sound better than...

The deal got even sweeter AFTER I had purchased the combo

Product Specifications

Hear exciting, lifelike sound for both music and home theater from Virtually Invisible speakers. The Bose Acoustimass 10 Series II home theater speaker system has five identical cube speaker arrays. So when a jet fighter thunders through your living room, whether from front to back or side-to-side, the sonic effect is seam-less and lifelike. Bose has engineered edge-of-your-seat performance for movies - and rich, concert-like sound for music. The sound quality, compact size and versatility give this system an advantage larger conventional speakers just can't match. The Acoustimass 10 speakers are specifically engineered for integrated, top-flight performance. Consider the way this system reproduces bass, for example. Many movies now include deep bass in all channels, including the surround channels. Conventional home theater systems require multiple large speakers - or two big sub-woofers - to bring you all that bass energy. However, the Acoustimass 10 system uses a single, compact source - the patent-ed Acoustimass module - to deliver all the bass that you find in today's soundtracks. With the advanced Bose Adaptive Energy Summing speaker design, this single (and easily hidden) module delivers deep, powerful bass for the front and surround channels. Direct/Reflecting Cube Speaker Arrays can be swiveled, allowing you to reflect sound off the walls as well as project it directly into the room. The result is full, spacious sound throughout the room - not just in one small "sweet spot." The Acoustimass 10 system arrives in one box, with a quick setup guide and clearly labeled wires that are easy to install. It makes top-of-the-line home theater audio convenient. Hearing is believing!
