Bose, the world-renowned high fidelity music systems company, has introduced a new multimedia loudspeaker designed to offer outstanding audio performance from an exceptionally small computer-compatible enclosure.The new Media Mate computer speakers provide the rich, deep bass performance that is usually only available from much larger speakers. Like fine speakers for music, these computer speakers provide outstanding performance over the entire audio spectrum. In addition to their superb sound, the Media Mate speakers are designed to address all the needs of today's multimedia user. The Media Mate speakers offer dual source input capability to accommodate CD-ROM use. Mixing capability allows the user to control the amount of computer sound relative to outboard sound. A headphone jack is provided for private listening. These functions and the volume knob are up front, for easy accessibility.Also, the speakers are specially equalized for near-field listening. Unlike home stereo speakers, where listeners are seated or walking around in various locations throughout the room, the multimedia user is seated at the workspace. Media Mate speakers offer excellent close-up sound, with full reproduction even at low volumes. Special proprietary circuitry provides good bass at low listening levels and prevents audible distortion at high volumes.
