Boston Acoustics CR 9

Nice clear sound. Can handle high volumes, but sound great at low volumes

Boston Acoustics CR 9

Grossly underrated reference speaker with amazing overall performance, excellent for mains and rear surrounds. Best when used in all four positions. I spent countless hours listening intently to an endless parade of towers and reference speakers while...

Price, quality, performance, tonality, durability

Product Specifications

CR9, the largest of the Compact Reference monitors, is still smaller than most "bookshelf" speakers, yet produces as much bass as many floor-standing models. The CR9 uses 25mm Kortec dome tweeter for smooth, clean highs and a potent 200mm DCD bass driver in a point-source configuration. This combination produces the accurate, flat frequency response that music listeners want, as well as the exciting sound effects and staging that video listeners crave.
